All The Best (EMI Compilation Album Series)
All the Best is a 2012 compilation album series of 2CD albums by EMI Records Germany featuring EMI and Virgin artists. Many of the artists had already been covered in a 1CD EMI compilation series as ''Essential'' in 2011. Others, particularly for the German artists, were new compilations, and listed on artist websites. The compilations' choice of music reflected what had been popular in Germany, causing Allmusic's reviewer to criticize the ''All the Best - UB40'' issue in the series with the conclusion "All the Best really means All the Non-Political Best". EMI Group Limited (originally an initialism for Electric and Musical Industries, also referred to as EMI Records Ltd. or simply EMI) was a British transnational conglomerate founded in March 1931 in London. At the time of its break-up in 2012, it was the fourth largest business group and record label conglomerate in the music industry, and was one of the "Big Four" record companies (now the " Big Three"). The Dubliners
The Dubliners were an Folk music of Ireland, Irish folk band founded in Dublin in 1962 as The Ronnie Drew Ballad Group, named after its founding member; they subsequently renamed themselves The Dubliners. The line-up saw many changes in personnel over their fifty-year career, but the group's success was centred on lead singers Luke Kelly and Ronnie Drew. The band garnered international success with their lively Irish folk songs, traditional street ballads and instrumentals. The band were regulars on the folk scenes in both Dublin and London in the early 1960s, and were signed to the Major Minor Records, Major Minor label in 1965 after backing from Dominic Behan who was paid by Major-Minor to work with the Dubliners and help them to build a better act fit for larger concert hall venues. Howard Victor Carpendale (born 14 January 1946) is a South African-German singer living and working in Germany. Biography Carpendale is a pop singer who sings most of his songs in German. Salvatore Adamo (born November 1, 1943) is a Belgian-Italian musician, singer and composer, who is known for his romantic ballads. The Ramones
The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential.
