All Saints' Academy, Cheltenham
All Saints' Academy is a Christian church school in Cheltenham in cooperation with the Church of England Diocese of Gloucester. Construction started in April 2010. The academy opened in September 2011. The project was budgeted to cost nearly £25 million with £2 million on IT equipment. The school replaced Kingsmead and Christ College which opened as recently as 2007 as the county's first joint Roman Catholic and Church of England school. Christ College had used the premises formerly occupied by St Benedict's from 1962 to 2007 which had been Catholic secondary School in Cheltenham. The opportunity of having a newly built school on the site of Kingsmead School formerly occupied by Arle School from 1959 to 1995 Kingsmead was closing due to falling numbers having been in special measures and turning the school into an academy justified making a fresh start with a new name. All Saints Academy, Darfield
Darfield is a village within the Metropolitan Borough of Barnsley, South Yorkshire, England. It is historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire. The village is situated approximately east from Barnsley town centre. Darfield had a population of 8,066 at the 2001 UK Census, increasing to 10,685 at the 2011 Census. History Roman coins have been unearthed in Darfield, and there is evidence to suggest that the village contained Roman habitation during its history. In Saxon, the name "Feld" describes '' 'a large area of pasture land' '', while the term "Dere" refers to the deer which inhabited the forest. When combined, this gives the name ''Derefeld'' which later became ''Darfield''. There are records of an 8th-century church in Darfield, but when the ''Domesday Book'' was written in 1086 there was no mention of it. All Saints Academy (formerly The Northfields Technology College) is a co-ed secondary school located in Dunstable, Bedfordshire, England. All Saints educates 11- to 16-year-olds, as well as mainly from the town of Dunstable and some surrounding villages. History The school was launched under the direction of Frank Underwood on 14 January 1936, with 336 students. It was then known as Northfields Senior Elementary School. ARK All Saints Academy
Ark All Saints Academy is a mixed, non-selective school for pupils which opened as an Ark (charity)#UK Education, Ark school in September 2013 with an intake of 120 year 7 students. The school grew year on year until its maximum capacity of 600 was reached in 2017. A sixth form was planned to open in 2018, with an intake of 120 in each year, however due to lack of funding the project was abandoned. The school opened on the old grounds of St Michael and All Angels Academy in Camberwell, with a brand new building opening in January 2014. The school's aim is for 'every scholar to have the means to go to university or pursue the career of their choice at the end of their compulsory education'. Ark All Saints is graded as a 'Good' school after OFSTED inspections in 2015 and 2018.
