All Of Us (EP)
''All of Us'' is the debut extended play by American girl group June's Diary. It is their first original release after appearing on the BET docs-series Chasing Destiny. The EP was released on June 30, 2018 through the independent label Music of Sound. Lyrically, the extended play discusses themes of female empowerment, heartbreak and love. The EP also features guest appearances from American rapper Trina as well as R&B singer Jussie Smollett. Background After the completion of Chasing Destiny, it was announced that the group would be releasing an album through Epic Records. June's Diary is an American girl group formed by singer Kelly Rowland and director/choreographer Frank Gatson Jr. on the American reality television docu-series '' Chasing Destiny'' in 2016. The group consists of members Kristal Lyndriette Smith, Ashly Williams, Brienna DeVlugt, Gabrielle "Gabby" Carreiro and Shyann Roberts. They signed a deal with L.A. Reid's record label Epic Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment, Inc. The group have supported various artists on tours, such as R. Kelly, Xscape & Jussie Smollett. Jussie Smollett (, born June 21, 1982) is an American actor and singer. He began his career as a child actor in 1991 debuting in ''The Mighty Ducks (film), The Mighty Ducks'' (1992). In 2015, Smollett portrayed musician Jamal Lyon in the Fox Broadcasting Company, Fox drama series ''Empire (2015 TV series), Empire'', a role that was hailed as groundbreaking for its positive depiction of a black gay man on television. "All of Us" is a song by American girl group June's Diary, released as a buzz single on June 7, 2016. It was written Naiquan Greene and co-produced by Kelly Rowland. The song was originally released under artist name 'Chasing Destiny' due to the fact the group had not decided their name yet. Reception Critical response The song has been well-received by critics. ''BET'' described the song as "The track can be summed up as a gangsta love song. Filled with all of the beautiful harmonies that we expect from the group. There's a twist, though. If the man in question decides to break any one of their hearts, they're going to call each other to give him what he deserves.
