"All I Want Is You" is a song by Irish rock band U2. It is the final track on their 1988 album, ''Rattle and Hum'', and was released as its fourth and final single on 12 June 1989. Barry Devlin
Barry Devlin (born 27 November 1946) is an Irish musician, screen writer and director. Early life Devlin is from Moortown in Ardboe, County Tyrone. He initially began to train as a Columban priest, but left to study English at University College Dublin and then joined a graphics company as a screenwriter. Career He was in the pioneering Irish Celtic rock band Horslips as bass player, vocalist and front man. After the breakup of Horslips, Devlin released the 1983 solo album ''Breaking Star Codes''. Horslips reunited from 2004 - 2006, and again from 2009 - 2019. He has directed for the screen, producing a number of U2 videos in the 1980s. ''The Best of 1980–1990'' is the first greatest hits compilation by Irish rock band U2, released in 2 November 1998. It mostly contains the group's hit singles from the 1980s, but also mixes in some live staples, as well as one new recording, " Sweetest Thing". In April 1999, a companion video (featuring music videos and live footage) was released. The album was followed by another compilation, ''The Best of 1990–2000'', in 2002. A limited edition version of the album that included a second disc of B-sides was released a week earlier than the standard single-disc version. "October" is the seventh and title track from U2's 1981 album, ''October (U2 album), October''. It is a departure from U2's classic sound, as it is a quiet, almost instrumental piece.
