All Blessed
''All Blessed'' is the seventh studio album by dance music act Faithless. It was released on 23 October 2020. It is their first studio album in 10 years, succeeding 2010's '' The Dance''. It is also their first album which doesn't feature lead vocalist Maxi Jazz. Background On 5 June 2020, the band released two edits of a new song, "Let the Music Decide", which featured the vocals of George the Poet and was only available for a limited time on music streaming platforms. On 16 July 2020, Faithless released follow up single, "This Feeling". Similar to "Let The Music Decide", this track also features a spoken poet known as Suli Breaks, with additional vocals by singer-songwriter Nathan Ball. Another single with Nathan Ball on vocals, "Synthesizer", was released on 28 August 2020 alongside its music video, with an announcement for the release date of 23 October for the band's seventh album "All Blessed". Faithless are an English band that formed in 1995, with its core members being Rollo, Sister Bliss and Maxi Jazz. Darryll Suliaman Amoako (born 22 January 1988), better known by his stage name Suli Breaks, is an English spoken word poet. He is best known for his spoken word videos on his YouTube Channel, Suli Breaks. He is best known for his 2012 video " Why I Hate School but Love Education" and his 2013 video " I Will Not Let an Exam Result Decide My Fate". Early life Amoako was born in Wood Green, London, England. He grew up as one of three children to Ghanaian parents in what he describes as "a conventional African family, where education is paramount". He has two sisters, Anisah (younger) and Cherelle (older). He went to Enfield Grammar School for a year before accepting a scholarship to play basketball in Middlesbrough. Rowland Constantine O'Malley Armstrong (born 8 May 1966), known professionally as Rollo, is an English music producer. He is one half of the remix/production duo Rollo & Sister Bliss and is a founding member of the electronic music group Faithless. He has remixed tracks for Pet Shop Boys, Simply Red, R. Kelly, U2, Moby, Grace, Tricky and Suede. Early life Rollo was born to an Irish publisher and a French-English poet. Sister Bliss
Ayalah Deborah Bentovim (born 30 December 1970), better known by her stage name Sister Bliss, is a British keyboardist, record producer, DJ and songwriter. In the studio, she is best known for her work with Rollo Armstrong as one half of the production duo Rollo & Sister Bliss, and particularly as part of Faithless. Career Faithless Sister Bliss formed Faithless in 1995 with Rollo, Jamie Catto and Maxi Jazz. Bliss constructed most of the music of Faithless herself electronically, but also played the piano, violin, saxophone and bass guitar. Damien Jurado is an American singer-songwriter from Seattle, Washington, United States. Over the years, he has released albums on Sub Pop, Secretly Canadian, Loose, and is currently on his own label Maraqopa Records. Music career Jurado's solo career began during the mid-1990s, releasing lo-fi folk based recordings on his own cassette-only label, Casa Recordings. Trevor Beresford Romeo OBE, (born 26 January 1963) better known as Jazzie B, is a British DJ and music producer. He is the founder of Soul II Soul. Life and career Jazzie was born in London UK to parents of Antiguan descent in Hornsey, London, the ninth of ten children, several of whom began running sound systems in the 1960s and 1970s. At age 18, Jazzie was working for cockney pop skiffle legend Tommy Steele, as a tape operator. He had his first gig in 1977 working with friends under the Rastafari name Jah Rico. Gaika Tavares, better known simply as Gaika, is a British artist and writer from South London. His debut album, '' Basic Volume'', was released in July 2018 by Warp Records, who describe the sound as "gothic dancehall and industrial electronics". Early life Gaika's parents came from Grenada and Jamaica, moving to the UK in the 1960s. He was previously a part of Manchester rap crew Murkage. Caleb Femi (born 1990) is a British-Nigerian author, film-maker, photographer, and former young people's laureate for London. His debut poetry collection, ''Poor'', was awarded a Forward Prize for Poetry. Early life Femi was born in 1990 in Kano, Nigeria, where he was brought up by his grandmother. When he was seven years old, he moved to join his parents on the North Peckham Estate in London. After leaving school, he studied English at Queen Mary, University of London. PIAS Recordings (formerly Play It Again Sam) is a Belgian record label founded in 1983 by Kenny Gates and Michel Lambot. Maxwell Fraser (14 June 1957 – 23 December 2022), better known by his stage name Maxi Jazz, was a British musician, rapper, singer, songwriter and DJ.
