''All-Night Lotus Party'' is an album by the American band Volcano Suns, released in 1986. In 2009, the album was remastered by Bob Weston and reissued by Merge Records with bonus tracks. Critical reception ''The New York Times'' wrote that "the Suns are defining their own punk-pop-metal turf." ''The Philadelphia Inquirer'' included the album among the 10 best of 1986, noting the "bashing sonic impact of punk ndthe melodic skill of the most accessible rock music." ''The Washington Post'' called "White Elephant" "an exemplary post-punk romp: clamorous and frenetic, but also melodic and tightly structured." Lou Giordano
Lou Giordano (born c. 1957) is a record producer and recording engineer who co-founded Radiobeat Studios. He worked at Fort Apache Studios when it was located in Boston, and was a partner in the production company Prodco, which had close ties with Fort Apache. Giordano received a degree in electrical engineering from MIT. He was a sound man for Hüsker Dü through 1988, and later produced Bob Mould's spin off Sugar. Giordano also built effects pedals for Mission of Burma. He has produced a wide variety of bands, including Sunny Day Real Estate and the Goo Goo Dolls. Steve Farmer (musician)
Steven O. Farmer (December 31, 1948 – April 7, 2020) was an American guitarist, composer and lyricist, best known for his composition with Ted Nugent in 1968, "Journey to the Center of the Mind", performed by their group The Amboy Dukes. Farmer wrote the lyrics to the hit song, which peaked at #16 in the charts. He also co-wrote with Nugent, or self composed, 22 compositions on the first three albums by The Amboy Dukes. Amboy Dukes The Dukes' first offering was their self-titled album ''The Amboy Dukes'' which charted. Theodore Anthony Nugent (; born December 13, 1948) is an American rock musician and activist. He initially gained fame as the lead guitarist and occasional lead vocalist of The Amboy Dukes, a band formed in 1963 that played psychedelic rock and hard rock. After dissolving the band, he embarked on a successful solo career. His first three solo albums, ''Ted Nugent'' (1975), ''Free-for-All'' (1976) and ''Cat Scratch Fever'' (1977), were certified multi-platinum in the United States. His latest album, ''Detroit Muscle'', was released in 2022. Nugent is known for his Gibson Byrdland, his bluesy and frenzied guitar playing, and his energetic live shows. "Journey to the Center of the Mind" is a song released by the Amboy Dukes in 1968. It reached number 16 on the '' Billboard'' charts in 1968 and number 19 in Canada. Original recording "Journey to the Center of the Mind" featured a psychedelic rock, garage rock, hard rock and acid rock sound. The song features lyrics written by the Dukes' second guitarist Steve Farmer, and melody written by Ted Nugent. The song was recorded with a higher budget than their past recordings. During the recording of the song there was a lot of tension amongst the band members, and a few of the members quit after the album was released. Released in the summer of 1968, the single helped define the psychedelic era as it peaked at # 16 on the ''Billboard'' charts.
