Basketball Bundesliga
The Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) (English language: ''Federal Basketball League''), for sponsorship reasons named easyCredit BBL, is the highest level league of professional club basketball in Germany. The league comprises 18 teams. A BBL season is split into a league stage and a playoff stage. At the end of the league stage, the top eight teams qualify for the playoff stage, and the teams positioned in the 17th and 18th places are relegated to a lower-tier league. The playoffs are played in a "Best of five" format. The winning team of the final round are crowned the German Champions of that season. In addition to the league competition, all BBL teams compete for the German Basketball Cup. Teams playing in the second league (ProA or ProB), or in a lower level Regionalliga, are also eligible to participate in the BBL-Cup. Jovo Stanojević
Jovan "Jovo" Stanojević (Cyrillic: Јово Станојевић; born 27 September 1977) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. Professional career Stanojević began his professional career at the age of 16, playing with Vojvodina in the Yugoslav Basketball League. As one of the most promising players of his generation, Stanojević participated twice at the Nike Hoop Summit in 1995 and 1996. Throughout his career, Stanojević played abroad in several countries, including five seasons in Germany with Alba Berlin, from 2002 to 2007. Jerry L. Green (born February 12, 1980) is an American former basketball player. He is a , 190-lb point guard. In 2006–07 Green was named the most valuable player (MVP) of Basketball Bundesliga, the top-tier men's professional basketball league in Germany, while playing for EnBW Ludwigsburg. Early life and college career A native of Pomona, California, Green starred at Pomona High School from 1994 to 1998. He stayed in-state to play college basketball and decided to suit up for the UC Irvine Anteaters. In 1998–99, Green's freshman season, he started all 26 games and averaged 12.8 points per contest. His scoring led the team, as did his 3.9 assists per game average and 38 total steals. Nate Fox (April 14, 1977 – December 22, 2014) was an American professional basketball player. Fox played college basketball for the University of Maine Black Bears, averaging 17.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in his senior year. After graduating, he played in Europe. From 2000 until 2002 he played in Portugal before signing with Bayer Giants Leverkusen in Germany. For the next two seasons Fox played in Israel, Belgium and The Netherlands.
