Aliza Green is an American chef and writer. In addition to being one of the first women chefs in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she is known as a pioneer of the farm-to-table movement. She was one of the first chefs in Philadelphia to deal directly with local farms and utilize locally raised food in her restaurants. She writes as a food columnist and has published more than a dozen books about food. Career Aliza Green grew up in Washington, D.C. but was part of an extended family that included people in Israel and Borough Park, Brooklyn, a Hasidic Jewish section of New York City. Aliza Olmert ( he, עליזה אולמרט; née Richter; born 1946) is an Israeli artist, photographer, author and social worker. She is married to former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Biography Aliza Olmert was born in a displaced persons camp in Eschwege, Germany. Her parents were Holocaust survivors from Łódź, Poland. She immigrated to Israel with her family in 1949, grew up in Ramat Gan, and served as an instructor in the Israel Defense Forces. She met her husband, Ehud Olmert, at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where she was studying social work. The Olmerts live in Jerusalem's Katamon neighborhood. She served as a member of the Knesset for Yesh Atid between 2013 and 2019, and is a senior lecturer at the School of Communication at Bar-Ilan University.
