Aliyah Collier
Aliyah A'taeya Collier (born September 6, 1997) is an American basketball player. A 5'9" guard, she played college basketball for Clemson University where she was an ACC All-Tournament Second Team in 2019. Following her college career, she went on to play professionally in Europe. In 2022, she won the Icelandic championship with Njarðvík and was named the Playoffs MVP. High school career Collier grew up in Augusta, Georgia and attended Lucy Craft Laney High School where she starred at basketball and helped the team to the state title game in 2013 and 2015, winning it in her senior season after posting 19 points, 8 assists and 7 steals in the championship game. For the season, she averaged 16.3 points, 9.8 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 5.5 steals. College career Collier played college basketball for Clemson from 2015 to 2019. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. The Fjölnir women's basketball team, commonly known as Fjölnir, represents Ungmennafélagið Fjölnir multi-sport club and is based in Grafarvogur, Reykjavík. As of the 2018–2019 season it plays in the Icelandic 1. deild kvenna (basketball), 1. deild kvenna. Haukar Women's Basketball
The Haukar women's basketball team, commonly known as Haukar, is the women's basketball department of Knattspyrnufélagið Haukar multi-sport club, based in the town of Hafnarfjörður, Iceland. Recent history On 23 September 2021, Haukar became the first Icelandic women's basketball team to win in a continental competition when it defeated Clube União Sportiva, 81–76, in the first leg of the 2021–22 EuroCup Women qualifiers. Icelandic Women's Basketball Cup
The Icelandic Women's Basketball Cup (Icelandic: Bikarkeppni KKÍ), also known as VÍS bikarinn for sponsorship reasons, is an annual basketball competition between clubs in Iceland. It is Iceland's first-tier cup competition, and is not to be confused with Iceland's former second-tier cup competition, the Company Cup. Naisten Korisliiga (Women's Basketball League) is the highest tier of women's basketball in Finland. The competition was formerly known as Koripallon naisten SM-sarja (Women's Basketball Finnish Championship) and was renamed Naisten Korisliiga for the 2013-14 season.
