Aliyah Abrams (born 3 April 1997) is a Guyanese sprinter specialising in the 400 metres. She placed fifth in the women's 400m at the 2022 World Indoor Championships in Belgrade. Abrams represented Guyana at the 2016 Rio Olympics in the women's 400 metres race; her time of 52.79 seconds in the heats did not qualify her for the semifinals. Aliyah Boston (born December 11, 2001) is an American college basketball player for the South Carolina Gamecocks of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). She plays the power forward and center positions. Born in Saint Thomas, United States Virgin Islands, Boston attended Worcester Academy in Worcester, Massachusetts, where she was a McDonald's All-American and a three-time Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year. Aliyah Saleem (born August 1989), is a British secular education campaigner, writer and market researcher. She is an ex-Muslim atheist, feminist and humanist activist, and co-founder of advocacy group Faith to Faithless. She has also written under the pseudonym of Laylah Hussain. Biography Saleem was born in London into a Pakistani Sunni Muslim immigrant family. From age 6 to 11 she attended Deobandi Arabic-led madrasas, where she learnt the Arabic language and was taught Salafi Islam. When she was 11 years old, Saleem entered the Islamic girls' private boarding school Jamia Al-Hudaa in Nottingham. Aliyah Khalaf Saleh (Arabic:عالية خلف صالح; born c. 1956), also known as Umm Qusay, is an Iraqi humanitarian who helped over 50 individuals escape persecution by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant in 2014. She is widely regarded as being a folk heroine in Iraq. Early life Saleh was born in Al Alam, near Tikrit, to a Sunni family in 1956 in what was then the Kingdom of Iraq. She was never formally educated, and was married at the age of 13.
