''Alive, She Cried'' is the second official live album by the American rock band the Doors, released in October 1983 by Elektra. It was the second live album release following 1970's '' Absolutely Live'' and produced by Paul A. Rothchild. The album's title was taken from a line in the song " When the Music's Over". Background Following a resurgence in the band's popularity due to the 1979 film, ''Apocalypse Now'' featuring "The End", and the 1980 release of the first Doors compilation album in seven years, ''Greatest Hits'', the push was on to release more Doors' music. The recordings are from various concerts during the period of 1968 to 1970 including shows in Los Angeles, New York, Detroit, Boston and Copenhagen. The Lovin' Spoonful is an American rock band popular during the mid- to late-1960s. Founded in New York City in 1965 by lead singer/songwriter John Sebastian and guitarist Zal Yanovsky, the band is widely known for a number of hits, including " Summer in the City", " Do You Believe In Magic", " Did You Ever Have to Make Up Your Mind?", and "Daydream". You Make Me Real
"You Make Me Real" is a song written by Jim Morrison that was first released on the Doors 1970 album ''Morrison Hotel''. It was also released as the only single from the album, reaching No. 50 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 but was surpassed in popularity by its B-side, "Roadhouse Blues". In France the single was issued with "Peace Frog" as the B-side. Music and lyrics "You Make Me Real" is one of several hard rock songs on ''Morrison Hotel''. Rock critic David Fricke called it a "three-minute preview of the garage-blues napalm the Doors would take into arenas throughout 1970." Matthews Arena (formerly Boston Arena) is a multi-purpose arena in Boston, Massachusetts. The Earl Carroll Theatre was a historic stage facility located at 6230 Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood, California. It was built by showman Earl Carroll and designed in the Streamline Moderne style by architect Gordon Kaufmann in 1938. The theatre has been known by a number of names since, including Moulin Rouge from 1953 to 1964 and the Aquarius Theater in the 1960s and 1970s. Sir George Ivan Morrison (born 31 August 1945), known professionally as Van Morrison, is a Northern Irish singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist whose recording career spans seven decades. He has won two Grammy Awards. As a teenager in the late 1950s, he played a variety of instruments such as guitar, harmonica, keyboards and saxophone for several Irish showbands, covering the popular hits of that time.
