Alistair Slater (cyclist)
Alistair Slater (born 11 February 1993) is a British road and track cyclist, who currently rides for British amateur team Clancy Briggs Cycling Academy. Slater is a two-time winner of the British National Team Pursuit Championships, winning the event in 2011 and 2012. Ali is currently a coach for Clancy Briggs Cycling Academy. 2016 Tour Of Britain
The 2016 Tour of Britain was a nine-stage men's professional road cycling race. It was the thirteenth running of the modern version of the Tour of Britain and the 76th British tour in total. The race started on 4 September in Glasgow and finished on 11 September in London. The race was part of the 2016 UCI Europe Tour. rider Steve Cummings became the first British rider to win the Tour overall since Bradley Wiggins in 2013, as well as improving upon two previous runner-up finishes to win the race for the first time. The British National Time Trial Championships for cycling are held annually. The winners of each event are awarded with a symbolic white cycling jersey featuring blue and red stripes, which can be worn by the rider at other time trial events in the country to show their status as national champion. Bourne, Lincolnshire
Bourne is a market town and civil parish in the South Kesteven district of Lincolnshire, England. It lies on the eastern slopes of the limestone Kesteven Uplands and the western edge of the Fens, 11 miles (18 km) north-east of Stamford, 12 miles (19 km) west of Spalding and 17 miles (27 km) north of Peterborough. The population at the 2011 census was 14,456. A 2019 estimate put it at 16,780. History The Ancient Woodland of Bourne Woods is still extant, although much reduced. 2011 British National Track Championships
The 2011 British National Track Championships were held between 28 September 2011 and 2 October 2011. The event was organised by British Cycling, and competitions of various track cycling disciplines in age, gender and disability categories were held. The competition was staged at the National Track Cycling Centre at the Manchester Velodrome, the venue for the track cycling at the 2002 Commonwealth Games. The event was notable for the return to form of Sir Chris Hoy, who claimed three national titles, and the emergence of Jonathan Mould, and the future world champions Becky James and Lizzie Armitstead, who won two titles each.
