Alisa Childers
Alisa Childers (born Alisa Noelle Girard; April 17, 1975) is an American singer and songwriter. She is known for being in the all female Christian music group ZOEgirl. She has had a string of top ten radio singles, four studio releases, and received the GMA Dove Awards, Dove Award from being with ZOEgirl. In 2020, she was included in the Christian apologetics film ''American Gospel: Christ Crucified''. Career Early years Born Alisa Noelle Girard to Karen and Christian music pioneer, Chuck Girard of Love Song (band), Love Song, she grew up in San Fernando Valley, California. She studied gymnastics and piano at a young age. At the age of 21, she moved to New York and ran a youth center in southeast Manhattan. Vintage, in winemaking, is the process of picking grapes and creating the finished product—wine (see Harvest (wine)). ZOEgirl was an American Christian teen pop and pop rock band formed in 1999. The group comprised Chrissy Conway-Katina, Alisa Childers and Kristin Swinford-Schweain. They were signed to Sparrow Records from 1999 to 2006 and released their debut single "I Believe" in 2000. This song and their self-titled debut album ''ZOEgirl'' helped them become Sparrow's fastest selling artist of all time. ''With All of My Heart'', the lead single for ''Life'', was the group's only No. 1 Christian contemporary hit radio (CHR) single and led to the group receiving a GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year in 2002. By the end of 2003, over one million albums from ZOEgirl were sold. "The Times They Are a-Changin'" is a song written by Bob Dylan and released as the title track of his 1964 album of the same name. Dylan wrote the song as a deliberate attempt to create an anthem of change for the time, influenced by Irish and Scottish ballads. Released as a 45-rpm single in Britain in 1965, it reached number 9 on the UK Singles Chart. The song was not released as a single in the U.S. In 2019 it was certified Silver by BPI. Bob Dylan (legally Robert Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter. Often regarded as one of the greatest songwriters of all time, Dylan has been a major figure in popular culture during a career spanning more than 60 years. Rhodes Piano
The Rhodes piano (also known as the Fender Rhodes piano) is an electric piano invented by Harold Rhodes, which became popular in the 1970s. Like a conventional piano, the Rhodes generates sound with keys and hammers, but instead of strings, the hammers strike thin metal tines, which vibrate next to an electromagnetic pickup. The signal is then sent through a cable to an external keyboard amplifier and speaker. The instrument evolved from Rhodes's attempt to manufacture pianos while teaching recovering soldiers during World War II. Development continued after the war and into the following decade. In 1959, Fender began marketing the Piano Bass, a cut-down version; the full-size instrument did not appear until after Fender's sale to CBS in 1965. Chuck Girard
Chuck Girard (born on August 27, 1943) is a pioneer of Contemporary Christian music. He moved to Santa Rosa, California in his young teens and was a member of the Castells and later the surf-rock band The Hondells. In 1970 he was a founding member of Love Song, the first Christian rock band to become popular in the United States. In 1975, Girard became a solo artist after leaving Love Song. He wrote and performed the songs "Sometimes Alleluia" and "Rock 'N' Roll Preacher"; both were featured on his debut album ''Chuck Girard.'' It also featured the band Ambrosia prominently throughout. Girard in turn was featured on Ambrosia's albums ''Ambrosia'' and ''Somewhere I've Never Travelled'', though the albums' credits do not indicate which tracks he contributed to or in what capacity.
