Alireza Nourizadeh
Ali Reza Nourizadeh ( fa, علیرضا نوری‌زاده, born 24 June 1949 in Tehran) is an Iranian scholar, literary figure, journalist, political activist and an expert on Iranian contemporary history. Career Nourizadeh is a political refugee from Iran. After fleeing to the United Kingdom, he obtained his PhD from the University of London in International Relations. He is a monarchist. Nourizadeh himself has been active in the Iranian journalistic milieu since 1967. Before Iranian Revolution, he was editor of ''Ettela'at'', a strongly pro-Shah Iranian newspaper. After Ali-Reza Pahlavi, youngest son of the Shah, killed himself in 2011 in Boston, Nourizadeh called it "a tragedy for the Iranian people". He is a senior researcher and director at the Centre for Arab & Iranian Studies strongly opposed to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Chain Murders Of Iran
The chain murders of Iran ( fa, قتل‌های زنجیره‌ای ایران) were a series of 1988–98 murders and disappearances of certain Iranian dissident intellectuals who had been critical of the Islamic Republic system. The murders and disappearances were carried out by Iranian government internal operatives, and they were referred to as "chain murders" because they appeared to be linked to each other. The victims included more than 80 writers, translators, poets, political activists, and ordinary citizens, and were killed by a variety of means such as car crashes, stabbings, shootings in staged robberies, and injections with potassium to simulate heart attack. Omid Nourizadeh ( fa, امید نوری زاده), better known as Omid 16B or 16B, is a British-Iranian electronic music producer/composer and DJ based in London. He is considered one of the creators of the tech house genre. Biography Omid's parents were Iranian but he spent his childhood in Putney, London. He grew up listening to rock music, and listed Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young and the Cure among his favourite artists – after Robert Smith became a fan Omid would later remix various Cure songs. Nima Nourizadeh ( fa, نیما نوری‌زاده; born 12 November 1977) is a British-Iranian film, music video, and commercials director. Nourizadeh is the son of political activist Alireza Nourizadeh and his siblings are electronic music producers Omid 16B and Navid. Career Nourizadeh has directed music videos for Dizzee Rascal, Pink Grease, Franz Ferdinand, Bat for Lashes, Santigold, Hot Chip, Yelle and Lily Allen.
