Aline Krauter
Aline Krauter (born 30 December 1999) is a German professional golfer. She won The Women's Amateur Championship in 2020, and the NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championships with Stanford in 2022. Early life and education Krauter hails from Stuttgart and was educated at Saddlebrook Prep in Florida. Amateur career Krauter won the 2016 German Girls Open and finished third at the 2018 Portuguese Ladies Amateur. She won the 2020 Women's Amateur Championship at West Lancashire Golf Club in England, 1 up, over home player Annabell Fuller. She became only the second German to do so, following Leonie Harm in 2018. Krauter represented Germany at the 2016 World Junior Girls Championship in Canada and at seven European Team Championships between 2016 and 2022, winning silver at the 2020 European Ladies' Team Championship in Uppsala, Sweden alongside Alexandra Försterling and Paula Schulz-Hanssen. 2020 European Ladies' Team Championship
The 2020 European Ladies' Team Championship took place 9–12 July at Upsala Golf Club, in Uppsala, Sweden. It was the 37th women's golf amateur European Ladies' Team Championship. Venue The hosting Upsala Golf Club was founded in 1937, the 22nd oldest golf club in Sweden. The course, located in Håmö, 9 kilometres west of the city center of Uppsala, the fourth-largest city in Sweden, was inaugurated in 1965, initially designed by Gregor Paulsson and renovated in 2007–2008 by Canadian golf course architect Robert Kains. The championship course was set up with par 72 over 6,100 yards. Format The 2020 Championship was played in a different season and in a modified format than usual. European Girls' Team Championship
The European Girls' Team Championship is a European amateur team golf championship for women up to 18 organised by the European Golf Association. The inaugural event was held in 1991. It was played in odd-numbered years from 1991 to 1999 and has been played annually since 1999. Since the European Lady Junior's Team Championship for women under 22, was discontinued in 2006, due to the trend of players reaching elite level at an earlier age, the European Girls' Team Championship has been regarded as the most important junior team event in Europe outside the British Isles. The Womens Amateur Championship
The Women's Amateur Championship, previously known as the Ladies' British Open Amateur Championship, was founded in 1893 by the Ladies' Golf Union. It is organised by The R&A, which merged with the Ladies' Golf Union in 2017. Until the dawn of the professional era in 1976, it was the most important golf tournament for women in Great Britain, and attracted players from continental Europe, North America, and the rest of the world. Along with the U.S. Women's Amateur, it is considered the highest honour in women's amateur golf. Q-School
In professional golf, the term qualifying school is used for the annual qualifying tournaments for leading golf tours such as the U.S.-based PGA and LPGA Tours and the European Tour. A fixed number of players in the event win membership of the tour for the following season, otherwise known as a "tour card", meaning that they can play in most of the tour's events without having to qualify. They join the leaders on the previous year's money list/order of merit and certain other exempt players as members of the tour. Getting through the qualifying school of an elite tour is very competitive and most professional golfers never achieve it. The Dana Open Presented By Marathon, is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour. It was founded in 1984 and has been played yearly, except in 1986 and 2011, in Sylvania, Ohio, a suburb northwest of Toledo. The tournament is televised by Golf Channel. Arnold Palmer Cup
The Arnold Palmer Cup is an annual team golf competition for college/university golfers. From 2018 it has been contested between a United States team and an International team representing the rest of the world. The teams consist of 12 men and 12 women. The teams are selected on the basis of nationality, not according to the location of the players' universities. The 2023 event will be held from June 10 to 12 at Laurel Valley Golf Club, near Ligonier, Pennsylvania. History From its foundation in 1997 until 2017 the event was only contested by men. The Chevron Championship is a professional women's golf tournament. An event on the LPGA Tour, it is one of the tour's five major championships, and has traditionally been the first of the season since its elevation to major status in 1983. 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup
The 2020 Arnold Palmer Cup was a team golf competition held from December 21–23, 2020 at Bay Hill Club and Lodge, Bay Hill, Florida. It was the 24th time the event had been contested and the third under the new format in which women golfers played in addition to men and an international team, representing the rest of the world, replaced the European team. The international team won the match 40½–19½. The event was originally planned to be played at Lahinch Golf Club, Lahinch, Ireland from July 3–5 but was moved because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
