Alina Vyacheslavivna Berezhna (formerly Stadnyk, née Makhynia, uk, Аліна В'ячеславівна Бережна (Стадник, Махиня); born 3 January 1991) is a Ukrainian freestyle wrestler. She is the 2013 World champion in women's freestyle 67 kg. Personal life Makhynia was born on 3 January 1991 in Chita, Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia. She moved to Ukraine in 1994. Career Competing in the freestyle 67 kg category, Stadnyk won gold at the 2009 World Junior Championships in Ankara and the 2013 European Championships in Tbilisi. In September 2013, she was awarded gold at the World Championships in Budapest, after defeating Stacie Anaka of Canada. In 2014, Stadnyk began appearing in 69 kg freestyle. She took bronze at the 2014 European Championships in Vantaa and gold at the 2015 European Games in Baku, defeating Israeli Ilana Kratysh in the finals. Chita ( rus, Чита, p=tɕɪˈta, , ) is a city and the administrative center of Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia, located on the Trans-Siberian Railway route, roughly east of Irkutsk. Beach wrestling at the 2019 World Beach Games in Doha, Qatar was held on 14 and 15 October 2019. The competitions were held on Katara Beach. In February 2021, the gold medal won by Pouya Rahmani of Iran (men's +90 kg) and the silver medal won by Mercy Genesis of Nigeria (women's 50 kg) were forfeited due to anti-doping rule violations. The ANOC World Beach Games, known simply as the ''World Beach Games'', is an international multi-sport event organized by the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC). The games are held biennially in odd-numbered years, with a focus on non-Olympic beach and water sports and a primary target audience of 15 to 35 year olds. It was first held in 2019 in Doha, Qatar. Beach wrestling is a type of wrestling that has been officially held since 2005. History First time in 2004, during the International United Wrestling Federation (FILA), beach wrestling was registered as a type of wrestling. Beach wrestling is a sport type in which both men and women can participate. Athletes compete in an inner sand-filled circle with a diameter of 7 meters. Unlike regular wrestling, athletes participating in this type of wrestling wear swimsuits, not wrestling clothes. They can also use spandex or sports shorts. In 2015, the International Federation of United Wrestling (FILA) amended the international rules. Under the new rules, wrestlers can score by knocking an opponent down, out of the ring, or on their back. The 2013 Summer Universiade, officially known as the XXVII Summer Universiade (russian: XXVII Летняя Универсиада), was held in the city of Kazan, Russia, the most northerly city ever to host a Summer Universiade. Over 10,400 university athletes from 162 countries participated in 13 mandatory and 14 optional sports, making the 2013 Universiade the biggest ever in the history of the event. For the first time in history a Cultural Universiade was also included, with many festivals and shows held simultaneously with the sporting events. The Universiade was organized by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and by the authorities of the Russian Federation. The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The 2015 European Games, also known as Baku 2015 or Baku 2015 European Games ( az, Bakı 2015 Avropa Oyunları), were the inaugural edition of the European Games, an international multi-sport event for athletes representing the National Olympic Committees (NOCs) of the European Olympic Committees.
