Alina Kasabieva
Alina Romanovna Kasabieva (russian: Алина Романовна Касабиева; born 6 March 2002 in Georgia) is a Russian freestyle wrestler of Ossetian descent, 2021 U20 European and world champion. 2x Senior national champion. Background She was born in South Ossetia, Georgia, into an Ossetian family, then she moved to Vladikavkaz, North Ossetia–Alania, Russia, where she started wrestling at the age of 10. Career Her first achievement was at the 2019 Cadet world championships in Sofia, Bulgaria, where she took a bronze medal. In 2021, as a junior wrestler, she became Russian, European and world champion at 62 kilos. Also, Alina made her debut in senior level at the 2021 world championships, where she came 7th. In 2022, Kasabieva competed at the Ivan Yarygin Grand Prix and took one of the bronze medals and became senior national champion. The 2023 Grand Prix Zagreb Open, was a wrestling event held in Zagreb, Croatia between 1 and 5 February 2023. It was held as the first of the ranking series of United World Wrestling in 2023. With an aim to reward wrestlers participating in Ranking Series tournaments, the United World Wrestling will award prize money to the medal winners in all weight classes with a total prize money of 390,000 Swiss Francs. The gold medal winners at the four Ranking Series tournaments in 2023 will receive 1500 Swiss Francs with the silver medallists getting 750 Swiss Francs. The two bronze medallists will receive 500 Swiss Francs each. Aisuluu Tynybekova ( ky, Айсулуу Тыныбекова, born 4 May 1993 in Bishkek) is a Kyrgyz freestyle wrestler. She won the silver medal in the women's 62 kg event at the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan. She also competed in the women's 63 kg event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, the first woman to wrestle for Kyrgyzstan in the Olympics. A legal dispute threatened to prevent Tynybekova from competing in London, but the case was delayed until after the Games. Tynybekova was eliminated in the 1/8 finals by Henna Johansson. As of summer 2016, Tynybekova has competed in four World Championships (her highest finish being seventh in 2013) and four Asian Championships, finishing no lower than third and winning the 58 kg class in 2016.
