Francisco Parés Alicea () is a Puerto Rican accountant and government official, serving as the Secretary of Treasury of Puerto Rico, secretary of treasury of Puerto Rico since January 2019. Biography Parés was born . He completed a bachelor's of business administration in accounting at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. Parés earned a Master of Science in taxation from Northeastern University. Parés is a Certified Public Accountant, certified public accountant and worked for Deloitte. He later became the assistant secretary for internal review and tax policy areas in the Puerto Rico Department of Treasury. Ismael Alicea (1954-2015) was a librarian, particularly well known for his work at the New York Public Library. Alicea held many positions in the library over 36 years, starting as a clerk in 1971. He received a Master of Library and Information Science in 1982 and served as a librarian for many libraries in the Bronx. When he retired, Alicea was the associate director of adult education and outreach for the library. Jose Alicea Mirabal (born February 6, 1967) is a Puerto Rican former professional basketball player. He played eleven seasons on the Baloncesto Superior Nacional league, from 1979 to 1993, excluding the 1984, 1985, 1988 and 1991 seasons. Alicea Mirabal debuted at 12 years old with the BSN's Indios de Mayagüez. He was with Mayaguez from 1979 to 1983. Luis René Alicea de Jesús (born July 29, 1965) is a former Major League Baseball second baseman and coach. Alicea played for the Kansas City Royals, Texas Rangers, Anaheim Angels, St. Louis Cardinals and Boston Red Sox. He played college baseball for the Florida State University Seminoles with his brother Edwin under head coach Mike Martin. Alicea played 13 seasons, during which he played in 1,341 games.
