Alibeyovs’ House
The Alibeyovs’ House is a residential building located in Baku at the intersection of 4 Rza Guliyev lane (former Karaulny lane) and 60 Suleiman Tagizade street (former Pochtovaya street). History Rza-bek Alibekov, by whose order the edifice was built, received his medical education in Kazan. Then he graduated with a gold medal from the Faculty of Law in St. Petersburg. The medal was presented to him personally by the Emperor Nicholas II. While studying in St. Petersburg, Alibekov met the architect Nikolai Prokofiev to whom he later ordered the construction of the house. The building was built in 1903 according to the project of the Academician N. Prokofiev who noted in his projects notes that the building on 60 Pochtovaya Street in Baku, among dense residential quarters, with a corner solution and with an inner courtyard, according to the layout meets the Baku traditions of the early 20th century. Yasamal Raion
Yasamal is a settlement and raion in Baku, Azerbaijan. It has a population of 245,900. One of the central districts of Baku, Yasamal district, was established in 1932 as the administrative unit of the district, from the south to Sabail (3 km), west from Garadagh (3.2 km), north from Binagadi (2.8 km) and Nasimi (5 km) borders with regions. The territory of the district is 16.22 km2. Nicholas II or Nikolai II Alexandrovich Romanov; spelled in pre-revolutionary script. The Kerbalai Israfil Hajiyev's Mansion ( az, Kərbəlayi İsrafil Hacıyevin evi) is a building situated on 12 Jafar Jabbarli Street in the Yasamal district of Baku. By the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, dated with 2 August 2001, the building was taken under state protection as an architectural monument of history and culture of national importance (No: 171). Description The building was built in 1910-1912 by the civil engineer Józef Płoszko. Mikado Cinematography Building
The Mikado Cinematography building or Azerbaijan State Academic Russian Drama Theater building named after Samad Vurgun - the building, previously used by Aliheydar Karimov as a warehouse in 1916, was renovated in the Chinese-Japanese style and began to function as a cinematographer. In 1917, for the first time in Baku, a scientific-educational cinematographic session was held for junior high school students in this theater. Mitrofanov Residence ( az, Mitrofanovun evi) is a mansion in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan. It was built by Dmitry D. Mitrofanov, a rich oil baron who employed Johann Edel as the architect for his residence. Construction took place between 1898 and 1902. The building was built in the French Renaissance Revival-style. Following the March 1918 events, the building was used by the Baku Commune.
