Aliağa Gençlik S.K., known as Aliağa Petkim for sponsorship reasons, was a professional basketball team from the district of Aliağa in İzmir, Turkey. Their home arena was the Enka Sport Hall with a capacity of 2,500 seats. The team competes playing in the Turkish Basketball League. History Aliağa Petkim was established in 1993, and continued playing in the ranks of TB2L until in 2008-09 season. The team was promoted to the Turkish Basketball League after finishing second position in the TB2L in 2008. In the 2012–13 season, the team played in the EuroChallenge Qualifying Round. Here it lost against Kataja from Finland. After the team was relegated from the TBL in the 2013–14 season, the club was dissolved. Enka Sport Hall
Enka Sport Hall ( tr, Enka Spor Salonu) is an indoor multi-purpose sport venue that is located in Aliağa, İzmir Province, Turkey. The hall has a seating capacity of 2,500 spectators. The sport hall was built by Enka Foundation and donated to Aliağa Municipality. Opened in 2003, it is home to wrestling and basketball branches of the Aliağa Youth and Sports Club. The 2012–13 Turkish Basketball League, which is called Beko Basketball League due to sponsorship reasons, was the 47th season of the top professional basketball league in Turkey. The regular season started on October 13, 2012, and ended on May 15, 2013. Playoffs started on May 17, 2013, and ended on June 15, 2013. Beşiktaş were the defending champions. Galatasaray Medical Park won their 5th title, after not winning one for twenty three years. Brian Qvale
Brian Arthur Qvale ( ; born November 3, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for Toyotsu Fighting Eagles Nagoya of the Japan - B2 League. He played college basketball for the University of Montana before moving to Europe and playing for teams in Turkey, Belgium and Germany. High school career Qvale attended Williston High School in Williston, North Dakota. He lettered in four sports, and was awarded a total of 12 varsity letters throughout his career – four years in basketball and football, three in baseball, and one in track and field. In basketball, he was named all-state three times, and all-conference on one occasion under head coach Mark Slotsve. As a senior, Qvale was North Dakota Mr. Basketball and labeled Male Athlete of the Year for the state. Aubrey Reese
Aubrey Lamar Reese (born October 13, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player. A 6-foot point guard, he played college basketball at Murray State for 3 years, being named the OVC Player of the Year in 2000. After going undrafted in the 2000 NBA draft he started his professional career in the USBL in 2000, and the following season he was named the USBL Player of the Year. He then moved to Europe, and in 2003 he was the top scorer of the LNB Pro A in France. He has played in several countries in Asia and Europe, including France, Germany, Israel, Russia and Turkey. Aubrey Gene Coleman (born October 9, 1987) is an American professional basketball player for Spartak Primorye of the Russian Super League. He played college basketball as an all-Conference USA player for the University of Houston where he became the NCAA's leading scorer for the 2010 season. Career Early years Coleman attended high school at Thurgood Marshall High School, though never played on the team. After graduating, he attended Gulf Shores Academy, and then junior college at Southwest Mississippi Community College. Branislav Ratkovica ( sr-cyr, Бранислав Ратковица; born 27 July 1985) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. He currently serves as a head coach for Metalac of the Basketball League of Serbia. Professional career Ratkovica started playing basketball for KK Drvomarket. Kaspars Kambala (born December 13, 1978) is a Latvian semi-professional basketball player, currently for BK Jūrmala, and a former professional boxer.
