Ali Zia
Ali Zia ( ur, علی ضیاء; 20 March 1957 – 20 January 2024) was a Pakistani first-class cricketer who played from 1974–75 until 1992–93 for the Pakistan national cricket team. In 165 games he made 8,579 runs at an average of 33.90, scoring 13 centuries with a best of 229 not out. With the ball, he managed 241 wickets at 28.39 runs given average, once taking 8 for 60 in an innings. Ali, along with Mohsin Kamal, coached Bangladeshi cricket team, Bangladesh in the 2003 World Cup. He died on 20 January 2024, at the age of 66. Pakistan National Cricket Team
The Pakistan national cricket team or Pak cricket team, often referred to as the Shaheens (), Green Shirts, Men in Green and Cornered Tigers is administered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The team is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council, and participates in Test, One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International cricket matches. Pakistan has played 449 Test matches, winning 146, losing 139 and drawing 164. Pakistan was given Test status on 28 July 1952 and made its Test debut against India at Feroz Shah Kotla Ground, Delhi in October 1952, with India winning by an innings and 70 runs.
