''Ali G Indahouse Da Soundtrack'' is the soundtrack to 2002 Mark Mylod's film ''Ali G Indahouse''. The enhanced CD was released on 18 March 2002 through Universal Island Records, and consists of a variety of styles of hip hop music. Executively produced by Dan Mazer, Nick Angel and Sacha Baron Cohen, the album features film star Ali G hosting a pirate radio broadcast on his "Drive By FM". The soundtrack peaked at number 29 in New Zealand, at number 33 in Australia, and at number 49 in the Netherlands. It spawned the only single "Me Julie", which was charted at the top 10 in the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands and Norway. Alistair Leslie Graham, better known as Ali G, is a satirical fictional character created and performed by English comedian Sacha Baron Cohen. A faux-streetwise poseur from Staines, Ali G speaks in rude boy-style Multicultural London English and brags about coming up "in da heart of da Staines ghetto" and leading a local street gang, "Da West Staines Massiv." He conducts interviews with unsuspecting subjects who do not realise they have been set up. Carlton Errington Grant (born 30 May 1969), better known as Spragga Benz, is a Jamaican dancehall deejay. Career He began his career around 1991. He was once known to his friends as "Spaghetti" (tall and slim), but this was later shortened to Spragga. The Benz in his name comes from the sound system for which he used to work for, L.A. Benz, and it is through this that he found his way into the music industry at a dubplate recording session with Buju Banton. The famed elder DJ was slated to do four tracks for L.A. Inga DeCarlo Fung Marchand (born September 6, 1978), better known by her stage name Foxy Brown, is an American rapper. After signing to Def Jam in 1996, she released her debut album, '' Ill Na Na'', later that year on November 19, 1996. So Solid Crew
So Solid Crew are a British UK garage and hip hop collective originating from the area on and surrounding the Winstanley and York Road Estates in Battersea, London which achieved wide success in the early 2000s. The group consisted of many members, the most notable being Asher D (Ashley Walters), Lisa Maffia, Harvey and Romeo. So Solid have been credited for being pioneers in the UK music scene. By turning UK garage from a dancey-genre to one that was darker and more MC-oriented, and gaining mainstream success, they inspired London youth to experiment with their own darker sounds, leading to what would become known as grime music. Paul Scott Levy (born 28 April 1971), also known as General Levy, is an English ragga deejay, regularly employed on studio tracks by drum and bass DJs. He is best known for the track "Incredible" which he recorded with M-Beat. A remixed version of this reached number 8 on the UK Singles Chart in 1994. "Incredible" is a song by jungle producer M-Beat featuring General Levy on vocals. It was first released as a single in 1994 and reached No. 39 on the UK Singles Chart. A re-release a few months later featuring new mixes was much more successful, peaking at No. 8, and remaining on the chart for 12 weeks. "Incredible" was the first jungle track to reach the top 10 in the UK. It was released on Renk Records. General Levy's vocals on "Incredible" were adapted from a song he had previously written, titled "The Wickedest General".
