Ali Al-Daqbaashi
Ali Salim Al-Daqbasi (born 5 December 1965) is a former Kuwaiti politician, representing the fourth district. Al-Daqbasi studied management before being elected to the National Assembly in 2003. While political parties are technically illegal in Kuwait, Al-Daqbasi affiliates with the Islamist deputies. He is on good terms with the royal family. Musallam Al-Barrak
Musallam Al-Barrak ( ar, مسلم محمد البراك) is a Kuwaiti politician. He was a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, representing the fourth district. Background Born on January 30, 1956, Al-Barrak studied geography and worked in the Municipal Council before being elected to the National Assembly in 1996. Al-Barrak affiliates with the Popular Action Bloc. Al-Barrak had been elected for six consecutive terms, making him the longest-serving member of parliament. Saleh Ashour
Saleh Ashour (; born 1953) is a member of the Kuwaiti National Assembly, representing the first district. Early life Ashour was born in 1953 in Kuwait, to Ahmed Ashour. He is of Iranian descent from Tarakma. Ashour studied economics and served in the Kuwaiti Air Force before being elected to the National Assembly in 1999. While political parties are technically illegal in Kuwait, Ashour affiliates with the Justice and Peace Alliance, a Shia party. Response to attack on Shia mosque On October 10, 2005, Ashour asked the authorities to ensure protection for a Shiite mosque which was attacked by a fifty-person mob on a Friday night. The teenage mob set fire in a car in front of the mosque in al-Jahra city and threw stones at worshippers. Ashour added that the gathering raised banners against the Shiites, accusing them of helping the American forces in Iraq. Khalaf Al-Enezi (14 October 1946 – 19 December 2022) was a Kuwaiti politician who was a member of the National Assembly of Kuwait, Kuwaiti National Assembly, representing the Kuwait's Second District, second district. Ali Al-Rashid is a former Kuwaiti politician member, representing the second district. Born in 1967, Al-Rashid worked as a lawyer before being elected to the National Assembly in 2003. Al-Rashid affiliated with the liberal National Democratic Alliance, but left the coalition on November 23, 2008. Opposed severing ties with Denmark, Europe On November 6, 2006, the parliament voted 22-15 to approve severing diplomatic ties with Denmark over the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy and spending about US$50 (€39.20) million to defend the prophet's image in the West. Mohammed Jassem Al-Sager (born 18 June 1951; ar, محمد جاسم الصقر) is a journalist, businessman, and politician. Background Al-Sager received a bachelor's degree in economics from Whittier College (California, US) in 1975. He then worked for five years at the Industrial Bank of Kuwait, where he became Corporate Finance Manager. In 1980, he left the bank to become Chairman and Managing Director of Coast Investment & Development Co.
