Algot Untola
Algot Untola (28 November 1868 – 21 May 1918) was a Finnish writer and journalist. Untola was born in Tohmajärvi, to the ''Tietäväinen'' family, and his real name was ''Algoth'', but he changed the name to ''Algot Untola''. Untola had many pen names including Irmari Rantamala, Maiju Lassila, Algoth Tietäväinen, Väinö Stenberg, J.I. Vatanen, Liisan-Antti and Jussi Porilainen. Untola's profession was teacher. He graduated in 1891 from Sortavala. Untola's most famous books were ''Harhama'' (1909) which he wrote under the name ''Irmari Rantamala'', and ''Tulitikkuja lainaamassa'' (1910) under the name ''Maiju Lassila''. Untola refused to take the state literature prize which he got from these books. Untola first supported the Finnish Party but he didn't agree with their views and he changed his party to Social Democratic Party of Finland. Jarl Algot Gustav Törneman, nicknamed P. (1 September 1909 – 5 May 1993) was a Swedish enamel artist and painter. Early life Törneman was born on 1 September 1909 in Vist, Linköping Municipality, Sweden, the son of Axel Törneman and his wife Gudrun (née Høyer). He passed ''studentexamen'' in Stockholm in 1927 and received a Candidate of Law degree from Lund University in 1937. Career Törneman worked at Stockholm City Court in 1937 and STIM in 1940. He became CEO of AB Skandiastål in 1944 and AB Eda bruk in Värmland in 1948. During World War II, Törneman was part of the Swedish secret intelligence agency C-byrån. Törneman was curator at the Association Hantverket in Stockholm from 1960 to 1968. Algot Tergel, born 8 August 1906 in Kyrkhult congregation, Blekinge County, died 12 October 1996 in Sigtuna congregation, Stockholm County, was a swedish priest, teacher and author. Tergel was son to peasant Sven Bengtsson och Sissa Jönsson. He completed his elementary school teacher education in Lund 1927, became ordinary college teacher at Mjällby 1928 and served in Skåne-Tranås from 1929 to 1938. After studentexamen in 1934 and renewed studies, he received his Master of Theology degree in 1938. He was ordained the same year in Lund and served thereafter in Lövestad and Simrishamn. He then became school- and seminary secretary at the Diaconal Board of the Church of Sweden in Stockholm 1942, priest in charge in Brännkyrka congregation in Stockholm 1949–51 and director at the Church of Sweden's layman school, in Sigtuna 1951–1971. Algoth Niska
Algoth Niska (5 December 1888 – 28 May 1954) was a Finnish bootlegger, footballer and adventurer. Biography He was born in Viipuri in 1888 and was the youngest child. When his father died in 1903, the family moved to Helsinki, where he got interested in football. He was a member of the Finland football team which played at the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm, losing 4–0 to England in the semi final. Niska joined his first ship in 1908. When the First World War broke out, he went to navigation school and graduated the following year – though he never got his papers. He was married twice and divorced both women. He had two children. The well-known Finnish musician Ilkka Lipsanen is his grandson. In 1919, when Finnish prohibition came into force, he acquired a large supply of now-illegal liquor. Algot Magnuson, Lord of Räfsnäs (c. 1355 – c. 1426) was a medieval Swedish magnate. He served as castellan of the fortification of Styresholm at Kramfors and governor of Ångermanland.
