Alfredo Marte (born March 31, 1989) is a Dominican professional baseball left fielder for the New Jersey Jackals of the Frontier League. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Arizona Diamondbacks and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Career Arizona Diamondbacks In 2011, Marte was suspended for testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing drug. Marte represented the Diamondbacks at the 2012 All-Star Futures Game. After the 2012 season, the Diamondbacks added him to their 40-man roster. On April 2, 2013, Marte made his major league debut against the St. Louis Cardinals, recording no hits in 3 at-bats. He appeared in 22 games for Arizona in 2013, hitting .186/.271/.256 with no home runs and 4 RBI in 43 at-bats. The league has 18 teams organized in two divisions, North and South. Teams play 114 games each season. The Pericos de Puebla (English: "Puebla Parrots") are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Puebla, Mexico. History The state of Puebla came upon baseball in the early 1920s when returning Poblanos that had come from military service who were based in the north of Mexico brought back with them this new sport which they share with the locals. Which the natives practice in their spare time spurning up numerous of amateurs baseball teams around the state. The Sussex County Miners are a professional independent league baseball team based in the Augusta section of Frankford Township in Sussex County, New Jersey, United States. The Miners are members of the East Division of the Frontier League, an independent baseball league which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. The Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball, commonly known as the Can-Am League, was a professional, independent baseball league with teams in the Northeast United States and Eastern Canada, founded in 2005 as a reorganization of its predecessor, the Northeast League. The Bravos de León (English: León Braves) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. History Cachorros de León (1979–80) Mexican League baseball in León began in 1979 when the Alijadores de Tampico moved to the city and became the Cachorros de León (León Lion Cubs). The first manager of the Cachorros was Benjamin "Papelero" Valenzuela.
