Alfonso G. Calderón
Alfonso G. Calderón (19 September 1913 - 14 April 1990) was a Mexican politician who was Governor of Sinaloa from 1975 to 1980. He was born in Calabacillas, Chihuahua (state), Chihuahua, of humble origins. At the age of 7, his parents moved to Los Mochis for a better work in the sugar mill. He applied for a position at SICAE and was assigned the position of electrician. In 1949, during the presidency of Miguel Alemán Valdés, he was elected federal deputy. Later he was municipal president of Ahome and treasurer of the town hall. During his governorship he cared about the citizens of the highlands of Sinaloa. It brought drinking water and electricity to the inhabitants of the mountains. At the end of his governorship he rejoined the labor tasks of the Confederation of Mexican Workers. He died on April 14, 1990 in Ahome Municipality and was buried in the municipal pantheon of Los Mochis. On the 30th anniversary of his death, a wreath and guard of honor were set up at his grave. Antonio Toledo Corro (1 April 1919 – 6 July 2018) was a Mexican politician and a member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). Born in Escuinapa de Hidalgo, he served as municipal president of Mazatlán from 1959 to 1962. Toledo ran a tractor business and was the director of a newspaper. Los Mochis
Los Mochis () is a coastal city in northern Sinaloa, Mexico. It serves as the municipal seat of the municipality of Ahome. As of the 2010 census, the population was 362,613, which was 61 percent of the municipality's population. Los Mochis is the western terminus of the Chihuahua-Pacific Railroad (El Chepe), which passes through the scenic Copper Canyon. This railway was originally conceived by Albert K. Owen and approved by President Porfirio Díaz as a trade route linking the cattle markets in Kansas City with the nearest port on the Pacific Ocean, Topolobampo. Miguel Alemán Valdés (; 29 September 1900 – 14 May 1983) was a Mexican politician who served a full term as the President of Mexico from 1946 to 1952, the first civilian president after a string of revolutionary generals. His administration was characterized by Mexico's rapid industrialization, often called the Mexican Miracle, but also for a high level of personal enrichment for himself and his associates. His presidency was the first of a new generation of Mexican leaders, who had not directly participated in the Mexican Revolution, and many in his cabinet were also young, university-educated civilians, close friends from his days at university.
