Alfonso Boekhoudt
Juan Alfonso Boekhoudt (born 27 January 1965) is an Aruban politician serving as the governor of Aruba since 1 January 2017. He previously served as minister plenipotentiary from 14 November 2013 to 17 November 2016. Life Boekhoudt was born on Aruba on 27 January 1965. Between 1991 and 1994 he worked in the cabinet of the minister plenipotentiary of Aruba. From 1994 to 2005 he worked as financial manager and director in the private sector. He served as director of the Aruba Ports Authority between 2005 and 2013. He also served as the chairman of the Aruba Red Cross between October 2010 and November 2013. He was appointed as minister plenipotentiary of Aruba per 13 November 2013, he succeeded Edwin Abath. Boekhoudt was succeeded by Juan David Yrausquin on 17 November 2016. Excellency is an honorific style given to certain high-level officers of a sovereign state, officials of an international organization, or members of an aristocracy. Ronald Hans Anton Plasterk (; born 12 April 1957) is a Dutch scientist, entrepreneur and retired politician of the Labour Party (PvdA). He has earned a PhD degree in biology, specialised in molecular genetics. Being a former Minister of the Dutch government, he has been the founder and CEO of Frame Cancer Therapeutics since December 2018. The governor of Aruba is the representative on Aruba of the Dutch monarch. The governor's duties are twofold; he represents and guards the general interests of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is head of the Aruban government. He is accountable to the government of the kingdom. As the head of the Aruban government, the governor is inviolable; the ministers are responsible. The governor does not have political responsibilities and is not part of the Aruban cabinet. During the formation of a cabinet, the governor plays an important role. Angel Roald Bermudez (born 1950/1951) is an Aruban politician. He served as Minister of Transport and Communication between 1987 and 1989. From 2011 to 2014 he was director of the Tax and Customs Administration of the Caribbean Netherlands. Bermudez served as Minister of Finance between 28 July 2014 and 17 November 2017. Career Bermudez was born on Aruba and raised in the Netherlands. He studied fiscal and company law at the Erasmus University Rotterdam. He subsequently obtained a postdoctoral title at Leiden University. After training as tax inspector Bermudez returned to Aruba where he became head of the tax inspection.
