Alfie Jones
Alfie Charles Jones (born 7 October 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender or midfielder for club Hull City. Career Jones grew up in Long Ashton, a small village on the outskirts of Bristol. He attended Backwell School and played at the Southampton Academy in Bath. Jones played on loan for Scottish Premiership club St Mirren during the 2018–19 season, but the agreement was terminated by St Mirren in January 2019. On 2 July 2019, Jones signed a season-long loan with Gillingham. During his spell with the club, he made 36 appearances in all competitions. On 4 September 2020, Jones joined League One side Hull City for an undisclosed fee, signing a one-year deal. He made his debut for the club on 8 September 2020, in the 1–2 loss to Leicester City U21 in the first round match of the EFL Trophy. Bristol
Bristol () is a city, ceremonial county and unitary authority in England. 2017–18 EFL Trophy
The 2017–18 EFL Trophy, known as the Checkatrade Trophy for sponsorship reasons, was the 35th season in the history of the competition, a knock-out tournament for English football clubs in League One and League Two of the English football system, and also including 16 Premier League and Championship " B teams" with Category One status after the previous season's trial format was extended. EFL Championship
The English Football League Championship (often referred to as the Championship for short or the Sky Bet Championship for sponsorship purposes) is the highest division of the English Football League (EFL) and second-highest overall in the English football league system, after the Premier League. The league is contested by 24 clubs. Introduced for the 2004–05 season as the Football League Championship the division was previously known as the Football League Second Division ( 1892– 1992) and Football League First Division ( 1992– 2004).
