Alf Whist
Alf Larsen Whist (6 August 1880 – 16 July 1962) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician for Nasjonal Samling. Pre-war life and career He was born in Fredrikshald as a son of Svend Larsen (1833–1893) and Sofie Mathilde Laumann (1842–1897). He finished middle school in 1896, and after a period at sea he started working with insurance in Kristiania. He was married to editor's daughter Augusta Kathinka Hals from 1904. He started his own insurance company Norske Lloyd in 1905, and also founded insurance companies like Norske Alliance, Norske Forenende Livsforsikringsselskap, Globus and Andvake. Norske Lloyd went bankrupt in 1920–1921. He then moved from Ullern to France. He was a board member of insurance companies in Finland, France, Algeria and the United States. He was decorated as an Officier of the Legion of Honour, Officer of the Order of the British Empire, Commander of the Order of Leopold and Knight of the Order of the White Rose of Finland. Heggedal Bruk
Heggedal is a part of the Asker municipality in Viken county, Norway. For statistical purposes, it's usually treated as part of the Oslo urban areaIn 2000, its population was 3,30 and the election district named Heggedal had 2,329 registered voters in the 2005 Norwegian parliamentary election, 2005 election. Quisling's Second Cabinet
The Quisling regime or Quisling government are common names used to refer to the fascist collaborationist government led by Vidkun Quisling in German-occupied Norway during the Second World War. The official name of the regime from 1 February 1942 until its dissolution in May 1945 was Den nasjonale regjering ( en, the National Government). Actual executive power was retained by the Reichskommissariat Norwegen, headed by Josef Terboven. Lars Hasvold
Øistein Lars Hasvold (1908 – 1964) was a Norwegian organizational director. He was a member of Fedrelandslaget in the 1930s, and was its secretary-general from 1938 to the disestablishment in 1940. The disestablishment followed the German occupation of Norway, and in January 1942 Hasvold joined the only legal party in the country, the Fascist party Nasjonal Samling (NS). Already from the autumn of 1941 he had been a close contact of NS politician Alf Whist. Hasvold was instated as director of Norges Handelsforbund on 1 January 1943, then of Norges Næringssamband on 1 May 1943. Norges Næringssamband was an employers' association in which Whist was co-founder and president. Whist and Hasvold used it as a vehicle for political power, but also to outline technological visions for a future Fascist Norway. Carl Dietrich Hildisch
Carl Dietrich Hildisch (22 April 1867 – 16 September 1949) was a Norwegian businessperson and politician for Nasjonal Samling. Biography He was born in Norway to German parents. He co-founded of the company De-No-Fa in 1912, and was elected to the first board of directors. He joined the Fascist party Nasjonal Samling in 1933, but was not an active member until the occupation of Norway by Nazi Germany from 1940. In May 1940, he acted as an informer for the Sicherheitspolizei about local businesspeople. Later in 1940, Hildisch was installed by Reichskommissar Josef Terboven as manager of De-No-Fa. In February 1943 he was installed as president of the Federation of Norwegian Industries, as the pre-war leadership was ousted. On 1 May 1943 he was declared vice president of the new organisation Norges Næringssamband. He was a close supporter of the president there, Alf Whist. Hans Fredrik Dahl (born 16 October 1939) is a Norwegian historian, journalist and media scholar, best known in the English-speaking world for his biography of Vidkun Quisling, a Nazi collaborationist and Minister President for Norway during the Second World War. His research is focused on media history, the totalitarian ideologies of the 20th century, and the Second World War. He served as culture editor of ''Dagbladet'' 1978–1985 and has been a board member of the paper since 1996. He was a professor at the University of Oslo 1988–2009, and is now a professor emeritus. Organisation Todt
Organisation Todt (OT; ) was a civil and military engineering organisation in Nazi Germany from 1933 to 1945, named for its founder, Fritz Todt, an engineer and senior Nazi. The organisation was responsible for a huge range of engineering projects both in Nazi Germany and in occupied territories from France to the Soviet Union during World War II. It became notorious for using forced labour. From 1943 until 1945 during the late phase of the Third Reich, OT administered all constructions of concentration camps to supply forced labour to industry.
