Alexey Tsereteli
Alexey Tsereteli (russian: Алексей Акакиевич Церетели; 1864, Saint Petersburg, Russian Empire – 1942, Paris, France) was a Georgian prince and he was a Russian opera entrepreneur. * Father: Akaki Tsereteli (1840–1915) was a Georgian prince, a prominent Georgian poet and national liberation movement figure. * Mother: Russian Natalia Petrovna Bazilevskaya (ru: Наталия Петровна Базилевская). Alexey was born in St. Petersburg and received the same education as all the Russian aristocracy and did not even know the Georgian language. He grew up a man of Russian culture. From childhood he liked music and especially opera. He received the profession of engineer, but a passion for opera has won and he decided to open an opera troupe. Nikolai Nikolayevich Evreinov (russian: Николай Николаевич Евреинов; February 13, 1879 – September 7, 1953) was a Russian director, dramatist and theatre practitioner associated with Russian Symbolism. Life The son of a French woman and a Russian engineer, Evreinov developed a keen interest in theatre from an early age, penning his first play at the age of 7. Six years later, he performed in a wandering circus as a clown. He attended a gymnasium in Pskov, before moving to the School of Jurisprudence in Saint Petersburg. Biography A Muscovite, Smirnov was a student of Emiliya Pavlovskaya and Alexander Dodonov. He made his debut in St Petersburg in 1903 as Gigi in Eugenio Domenico Esposito's '' La Camorra''. Mstislav Valerianovich Dobuzhinsky or Dobujinsky ( lt, Mstislavas Dobužinskis, August 14, 1875, Novgorod – November 20, 1957, New York City) was a Russian and Lithuanian artist noted for his cityscapes conveying the explosive growth and decay of the early twentieth-century city.
