Alexey Glyzin
Alexey Sergeevich Glyzin (russian: link=no, Алексе́й Серге́евич Глы́зин; born January 13, 1954, Mytischi) is a Soviet and Russian pop singer and actor. He has received various awards, including Honored Artist of Russia (2006), and the Chanson of the Year award (2016). Early life After studying at the correspondence department in Tambov he transferred to the Moscow State Art and Cultural University, where he studied on a full-time pop-brass faculty. In the third year he was drafted into the army in the Far East, where he served near the Chinese border, a junior aviation specialists. Then he moved to the music platoon. Career He worked in the ensemble band Dobry Molodtsy. In 1977 he joined Samotsvety. In 1978 he joined Rhythm, accompanying Alla Pugacheva. From 1979 to 1988 he played in the Vesyolye Rebyata ensemble. In August 1988, he gathered a group he named Ura and started a solo career. Mytishchi ( rus, Мыти́щи, p=mɨˈtʲiɕːɪ) is a city and the administrative center of Mytishchinsky District in Moscow Oblast, Russia, which lies 19 km northeast of Russia's capital Moscow on the Yauza River and the Moscow–Yaroslavl railway. Moscow State Art and Cultural University (russian: Московский государственный университет культуры и искусств) is a Russian university, a vocational training center in the field of culture and art, located in the Levoberezhny District, Khimki, Moscow Oblast. Samotsvety (russian: Самоцветы, which means "''Semiprecious Stones''") is a Soviet VIA band formed in 1971, in Moscow. It became one of the more successful and better known VIA bands, recording a number of hits and serving as a springboard to fame for several Russian musicians, including Dmitry Malikov, Vladimir Presnyakov Sr., and Alexander Barykin. Vesyolye Rebyata (russian: Весёлые Ребята, which means "''jolly fellows''") was a Soviet VIA (vocal instrumental ensemble) band formed in 1966, in Moscow. It became one of the most successful and best known VIA bands of all time. Its debut album sold 15,795,000 copies and its membership included at various times such popular Soviet era singers as Alla Pugachova, Alexander Gradsky, and Alexander Barykin.
