Alexei De Keyser
Alexei Paul de Keyser (21 September 1967 – 28 July 2004) was a British television producer, a son of the British actor David de Keyser. Early life He was educated at St Christopher's School, a progressive boarding school in Letchworth, Hertfordshire, and William Ellis School in Highgate, London. He then studied drama at Hull University, leaving early to work at the Groucho Club in London. Career His first role was reading scripts for the independent producer Verity Lambert, and he became her script editor at Cinema Verity, working on popular dramas such as ''Class Act''. In 1996 he moved to Carlton Television, where he transformed the drama ''London Bridge'' into a twice-weekly soap. De Keyser joined the BBC in 1997 as series script editor for BBC One's popular long-running drama ''Casualty''. He quickly rose to become producer and then series producer in 1998. Television Producer
A television producer is a person who oversees one or more aspects of video production on a television show, television program. Some producers take more of an executive role, in that they conceive new programs and pitch them to the television networks, but upon acceptance they focus on business matters, such as budgets and contracts. Other producers are more involved with the day-to-day workings, participating in activities such as screenwriting, Scenic design, set design, Casting (performing arts), casting, and directing. BBC One
BBC One is a British free-to-air public broadcast television network owned and operated by the BBC. ''The Guardian'' is a British daily newspaper. It was founded in 1821 as ''The Manchester Guardian'', and changed its name in 1959. The Independent
''The Independent'' is a British online newspaper. It was established in 1986 as a national morning printed paper. Nicknamed the ''Indy'', it began as a broadsheet and changed to tabloid format in 2003. The last printed edition was published on Saturday 26 March 2016, leaving only the online edition. Waking The Dead (TV Series)
''Waking the Dead'' is a British television police procedural crime drama series, produced by the BBC, that centres on a fictional London-based Cold Case unit composed of CID police officers, a psychological profiler and a forensic scientist. ''Casualty'' (stylised as ''CASUAL+Y'') is a British medical drama series that airs weekly on BBC One. Created by Jeremy Brock and Paul Unwin, it was first broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC One on 6 September 1986. The original producer was Geraint Morris. Having been broadcast weekly since 1986, ''Casualty'' is the longest-running primetime medical drama series in the world. ''London Bridge'' is a British soap opera made by Carlton for ITV and shown in the London region, as well as a few other ITV regions, including Central and Granada Television. ''London Bridge'' revolved around a restaurant, SE1, and the neighbouring block of flats. It ran from 15 February 1996 to 31 March 1999. It featured many actors who have gone on to star in bigger TV shows, including '' Bad Girls'' actresses Simone Lahbib and Mandana Jones and ''No Angels'' star Sunetra Sarker. Broadcast It started out as a late-night drama which ran for 26 episodes in 1996, before returning as a twice-weekly soap opera later that year.
