Alexei Collado Acosta (born 13 February 1988) is a Cuban professional boxer. As an amateur he won a gold medal in the flyweight division at the 2006 Junior World Championships. Super bantamweight, also known as junior featherweight, is a weight class in professional boxing, contested from and up to . There were attempts by boxing promoters in the 1920s to establish this weight class, but few sanctioning organizations or state athletic commissions would recognize it. Jack Wolf won recognition as champion when he beat Joe Lynch at Madison Square Garden on September 21, 1922, but afterwards the weight division fell into disuse. Ismaikel "Mike" Perez (born 20 October 1985) is a Cuban-Irish professional boxer who holds the WBA Intercontinental Cruiserweight title and challenged once for the WBC cruiserweight title in 2017. Background Perez was a successful amateur boxer in Cuba. In 2005, while competing with the Cuban team at a tournament in Liverpool, he caught the eye of Irish boxing promoter Gary Hyde. Hyde later expressed his desire to turn Perez professional, and to do that he had to arrange his defection from Cuba. In December 2007, under cover of darkness, Perez swam offshore from Cuba, to a boat manned by a Mexican cartel. After transferring through two other boats, enduring storms and depleted food and water supplies, Perez eventually reached Mexican soil nine days later. Andry Laffita Fernández (born March 26, 1978) is a retired Cuban amateur boxer. He won the silver medal at the 2005 World Amateur Boxing Championships. At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, he won a silver medal in the flyweight class. Career In 1996 Laffita won the world junior championship. From 1999 to 2001 he was suspended for use of steroids. Laffita rose to prominence after Olympic champion Yuriorkis Gamboa moved out of his weight class. During the 2005 World Amateur Boxing Championships in Mianyang, China Laffita defeated Somjit Jongjohor, Violito Payla, Juan Carlos Payano, Jérôme Thomas and Mirat Sarsembayev to reach the final. Khalid "Kal" Yafai ( ar, خالد يافعي; born 11 June 1989) is a British professional boxer who held the WBA super-flyweight title from 2016 to 2020. As an amateur, he represented Great Britain at the 2008 Summer Olympics and won a silver medal at the 2010 European Championships as a flyweight.
