Alexandru Golban
Alexandru Golban (born 28 February 1979 in Chișinău, Moldavian SSR, Soviet Union) is a retired footballer and also former member of Moldova national team. He holds dual Moldovan-Romanian nationality. Career Club career At club level, he was known in 2001–02 season where he received his first national call-up. In February 2004, he leave Moldova to Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv, signed a three-year contract. He played for the club in two First League season, and two Premier League half-season, where he just played 4 times in Ukrainian Premier League. After receiving the Romanian nationality, he moved to German 2. Bundesliga side Eintracht Braunschweig. After the club relegated to the Regionalliga in summer 2007, he moved to Romanian side Ceahlăul Piatra Neamţ and in mid-season to Kazakhstani side FC Tobol. Malta (Rothmans) International Tournament
The Malta International Tournament was a biannual association football friendly competition for national teams organised by the Malta Football Association that took place in Malta between 1986 and 2008. Initially, the tournament included the participation of football clubs, but starting from 1988 this was revamped to include only national A teams. Usually played in February, the competition involved a single round-robin phase where each team played once against each other. Teams are ranked by points and at the end of the competition, the team with the most points is crowned champion. Up till 2004, the competition was sponsored by Rothmans and was known as the Rothmans Tournament for sponsorship reasons. Attard
Attard ( mt, Ħ'Attard) is a town in the Central Region, Malta, Central Region of Malta. Together with Balzan and Lija it forms part of "Three villages of Malta, the Three Villages" and has been inhabited since the Classical antiquity, Classical Period. 2006 FIFA World Cup Qualification (UEFA)
Listed below are the dates and results for the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification rounds for UEFA teams. A total of 51 teams took part, divided in 8 groups – five groups of six teams each and three groups of seven teams each – competing for 13 places in the World Cup. Germany, the hosts, were already qualified, for a total of 14 European places in the tournament. The qualifying process started on 18 August 2004, over a month after the end of UEFA Euro 2004, and ended on 16 November 2005. Kazakhstan, which transitioned from the Asian Football Confederation to UEFA after the end of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, debuted in the European qualifiers. UEFA Euro 2004 Qualifying
Qualification for the 2004 UEFA European Championship took place between September 2002 and November 2003. Fifty teams were divided into ten groups, with each team playing the others in their group twice, once at home and once away. The top team in each group automatically qualified for Euro 2004, and the ten group runners-up were paired off against each other to determine another five places in the finals. The Persha Liha ( uk, Перша ліга) or Ukrainian First League is a professional football league in Ukraine and the second tier of national football competitions pyramid. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. It is the highest division of Professional Football League.
