Alexandru Bourceanu
Alexandru Bourceanu (born 24 April 1985) is a Romanian minifootball player and former footballer. He played as a Midfielder#Defensive midfielder, defensive midfielder and was known for his combative playing style, being physically strong in spite of his short stature. He plays for Romania minifootball national team whom which he won the 2023 WMF World Cup . Career Steaua București Born in Galaţi, Bourceanu has played central defensive midfielder for various local clubs. He transferred from FC Politehnica Timișoara, Politehnica Timișoara to FC Steaua București, Steaua București in the summer of 2011. After just 10 league matches, Bourceanu became team's captain. The Supercupa României ( en, Romanian Supercup) is a Romanian football championship contested by the winners of the Liga I and the Cupa României. It is usually played at the Arena Națională in Bucharest. The competition started off in 1994, with the first edition being won by Steaua București. In 2010, for the first time in its history, the Supercup was held even though CFR Cluj had been victorious in both the league and the cup in the previous season. At that time, they faced Unirea Urziceni, the Liga I runners-up. The Cupa Ligii ( en, League Cup) was Romania's secondary club football tournament. Like the Cupa României, it was played on a knockout (single elimination) basis. History It is unclear when the competition was first created, as there are no official recordings. It probably started sometime after 1990, but there may already have been an edition as early as 1978. Cupa Ligii was meant to shorten the break between the end of the league season and the start of a major international competition. It had a friendly character and was last played in 2000 before being dropped.
