Alexander Yellen
Alexander Yellen (born January 26, 1981) is an American cinematographer who is best known for his work on the Syfy zombie series Z Nation, giant monster and disaster movies such as ''Mega Shark Versus Giant Octopus'' and ''Titanic II''. The former earned praise for Yellen's photography. Early life Born in Washington D.C. to archaeologist John Yellen and anthropology professor Alison Brooks, Alexander Yellen attended St. Albans School in Washington, D.C., graduating in 1999. He studied film at Wesleyan University where he received a B.A. in 2003. Career After college, Yellen moved to Los Angeles. To learn the craft of cinematography, he began working as a camera assistant on a number of student films at the American Film Institute. Quinceañera (film)
''Quinceañera'' ( en, "Fifteen-year-old") is a 2006 American independent drama film written and directed by Richard Glatzer and Wash Westmoreland. Set in Echo Park, Los Angeles, the film follows the lives of two young Mexican American cousins who become estranged from their families—Magdalena (played by Emily Rios) because of her unwed teenage pregnancy and Carlos (Jesse Garcia) because of his homosexuality—and are taken in by their elderly great-uncle Tomas (Chalo González). The film was inspired by Glatzer and Westmoreland's experience as a white gay couple moving into the gentrifying neighborhood of Echo Park, a predominantly Hispanic working-class community. The Race Across America, or RAAM, is an ultra-distance road cycling race held across the United States that started in 1982 as the Great American Bike Race. RAAM is one of the longest annual endurance events in the world. All entrants must prove their abilities by competing in any of several qualifying events, completing a course within a specified time period. In length the RAAM is comparable to the Tour de France, but the races differ to a great extent. The courses of both races have varied over the years. However, in the Race Across America, the direction has always been from the west coast to the east coast of the United States, approximately 3,000 miles (4,800 km), making it a transcontinental event. Eric Wesley Steelberg (born April 1, 1977) is an American cinematographer. He is a frequent collaborator of Jason Reitman, having worked with him on ''Juno'' (2007), '' Up in the Air'' (2009), ''Young Adult'' (2011), ''Labor Day'' (2013), '' Men, Women & Children'' (2014), '' Tully'' (2018), and '' Ghostbusters: Afterlife'' (2021).
