Alexander Lugger
Alexander Lugger (born 8 May 1968) is an Austrian ski mountaineer and coach of the national team. Lugger was born in Lienz. He started ski mountaineering in 1984 and competed first in the ''Lesachtaler Skitourenlauf'' race in 1992. He holds several national champion titles amongst others. Lienz (; Southern Bavarian: ''Lianz'') is a Town privileges, medieval town in the Austrian state of Tyrol (state), Tyrol. It is the administrative centre of the Lienz (district), Lienz district, which covers all of East Tyrol. The municipality also includes the Katastralgemeinden, cadastral subdivision of ''Patriasdorf''. 2008 World Championship Of Ski Mountaineering
The 2008 World Championship of Ski Mountaineering was the fourth World Championship of Ski Mountaineering sanctioned by the International Council for Ski Mountaineering Competitions (ISMC), held in Portes du Soleil, Switzerland, from February 23 to February 29, 2008. Ski Mountaineering Coaches
A ski is a narrow strip of semi-rigid material worn underfoot to glide over snow. Substantially longer than wide and characteristically employed in pairs, skis are attached to ski boots with ski bindings, with either a free, lockable, or partially secured heel. For climbing slopes, ski skins (originally made of seal fur, but now made of synthetic materials) can be attached at the base of the ski. Originally intended as an aid to travel over snow, they are now mainly used recreationally in the sport of skiing. Etymology and usage The word ''ski'' comes from the Old Norse word which means "cleft wood", "stick of wood" or "ski". In Old Norse common phrases describing skiing were ''fara á skíðum'' (to travel, move fast on skis), ''renna'' (to move swiftly) and ''skríða á skíðum'' (to stride on skis). Hansjörg Lunger (born 4 September 1964) is an Italian ski mountaineer. Lunger was born in Karneid. He started ski mountaineering in 1985, competed first in 2003 and was member of the national team after 2006.
