Alexander Denisyev
Alexander Vladimirovich Denisyev (russian: Александр Владимирович Денисьев, born 29 July 1991) is a Russian luger. Denisyev, together with Vladislav Antonov, participated in doubles and in team relay competitions at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Denisyev and Antonov came fifth in the doubles, and, together with Tatiana Ivanova and Albert Demchenko, they won the silver medal in the team relay. Denisyev was later stripped of that medal, after Albert Demchenko and Tatiana Ivanova were banned for doping violations on 22 December 2017, and the results of the Russian team were annulled. On 1 February 2018, their results were restored as a result of the successful appeal. Altenberg () is a town in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district, in Saxony, Germany. Sigulda
Sigulda (; german: Segewold, pl, Zygwold, russian: Сигулда) is a town in the Vidzeme region of Latvia, from the capital city Riga. Overview Sigulda is on a picturesque stretch of the primeval Gauja river valley. Because of the reddish Devonian sandstone which forms steep rocks and caves on both banks of the river, Sigulda has been called the "Switzerland of Vidzeme". The Oberhof bobsleigh, luge, and skeleton track is a venue used for bobsled, luge and skeleton located in Oberhof, Germany. Albert Demchenko
Albert Mikhailovich Demchenko (russian: Альберт Михайлович Демченко; born 27 November 1971) is a Russian luger who competed from 1992 to 2014. He is currently coaching the Russian luge team. His daughter Victoria Demchenko is also a luger. Career A seven-time Winter Olympian, he won his first medal at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin with a silver in the men's singles event. He competed in his sixth Olympics at the 2010 Winter Olympics, coming fourth. He then competed in his seventh Olympics in Sochi 2014 in his native Russia, winning a further two silver medals. Demchenko also won eight medals at the FIL European Luge Championships with four golds (Men's singles: 2006, 2010; Mixed team: 2012, 2014), two silvers (Men's singles: 1996, 2008), and two bronzes (Men's doubles: 1996; Mixed team: 2013). Tatiana Ivanova
Tatiana Ivanovna Ivanova (russian: Татьяна Ивановна Иванова; born 16 February 1991) is a Russian luger who has competed since 2000. She won the women's singles event at the FIL European Luge Championships in 2010, 2012, 2018 and 2020. Ivanova debuted in the World Cup in the 2008–09 season, finishing 17th. Career She competed at her first Olympics in Vancouver, where she finished fourth. The same year Ivanova won the European Championships in Sigulda. Two years later the Russian finished second in the World Championships in Altenberg and successfully defended her title at the European Championships in Paramonovo.
