Alexander Carlton Hodson
Alexander Carlton Hodson (17 June 1906 – 13 March 1996) was an American entomologist and a professor at the University of Minnesota. He is known for his work on ecological approaches to applied entomology. Hodson was born in Reading, Massachusetts where his father worked in a paint business into which he too joined. He then received a BS from the University of Massachusetts in 1928 and an MA in 1931 from the University of Minnesota, followed by a PhD in 1935. He worked under Victor E. Reading ( ) is a town in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, United States, north of central Boston. The population was 25,518 at the 2020 census. The Huai River (), formerly romanized as the Hwai, is a major river in China. It is located about midway between the Yellow River and Yangtze, the two longest rivers and largest drainage basins in China, and like them runs from west to east.
