Alexander Campbell (dancer)
Alexander Campbell (born 1986) is an Australian ballet dancer who is currently a principal dancer in the Royal Ballet at Covent Garden, London. As well as a ballet dancer, he has become a spokesperson for men in ballet, regularly appearing as a guest speaker on cricket programs, and has been an advisor to the England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) training programs. More recently (in June 2017), Campbell was appointed an ambassador for the Royal Academy of Dance and Marylebone Cricket Club joint project to encourage and normalize more boys to take up ballet and more girls to take up cricket. Early life Alexander Campbell was born in Sydney, Australia in 1986. His father is Alan Campbell, who was a selector and manager for Cricket New South Wales, and State Director of Coaching for 20 years. Yasmine Naghdi (born March 25, 1992) is a British ballerina and principal dancer of The Royal Ballet in London. She joined The Royal Ballet in April 2010. In June 2017, she was promoted to the rank of principal ballerina. Early life Naghdi was raised in Kensington, England by a Belgian art historian mother and an Iranian father in the automotive industry. When she was 12 years old she was accepted into the Royal Ballet School and performed in numerous ballets. Because Naghdi joined the Royal Ballet School late by ballet standards, she felt excluded and saw herself as "the bottom of the class". Despite her initial social struggles, she was awarded "Most Outstanding Classical Dancer" at the age of 15. Within The Golden Hour
''Within the Golden Hour'' is a one-act contemporary ballet choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon, composed by Ezio Bosso and featured music by Antonio Vivaldi. The ballet premiered in 2008 at the War Memorial Opera House, danced by the San Francisco Ballet. Production ''Within the Golden Hour'' was created as part of San Francisco Ballet's New Work Festival, which commissioned 10 choreographers to create works for the company. It is performed by 14 dancers, including three main couples, originated by Sarah Van Patten, Pierre-François Vilanoba, Maria Kochetkova, Joan Boada, Katita Waldo and Damian Smith. Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is a cricket club founded in 1787 and based since 1814 at Lord's Cricket Ground, which it owns, in St John's Wood, London. Roberta Marquez is a Brazilian ballet dancer who was a Principal Dancer with The Royal Ballet. Early life Roberta Marquez was born in Rio de Janeiro to a Peruvian mother and a to a Portuguese father who was raised in Brazil. She started ballet at age 4, though she also learned tap, jazz, Spanish and African dance. She later trained at the Maria Olenewa State Dance School.
