Alexander Badawy
Alexander Badawy (November 29, 1913 – May 1986) was an Egyptian Egyptologist. He was born in Egypt and taught Egyptology in the United States. He was professor of art history at UCLA, and after he became emeritus, he endowed a chair (in 1985) at Johns Hopkins University, currently held by Betsy Bryan Betsy Morrell Bryan (born 1949) is an American Egyptologist who is leading a team that is excavating the Precinct of Mut complex in Karnak, at Luxor in Upper Egypt. Betsy Morrell Bryan (born 1949) is an American Egyptologist who is leading a team that is excavating the Precinct of Mut complex in Karnak, at Luxor in Upper Egypt. She is Alexander Badawy Professor of Egyptian Art and Archaeology, and Near Eastern Studies Professor at Johns Hopkins University. Her work has included research and writing about Thutmose IV and Amenhotep III, and on an Egyptian drinking festival.
