Alexander (1996 Film)
Alexander is a 1996 Tamil language action film directed by Keyaar. The film stars Vijayakanth and Sangita in lead roles. The film, produced by Meena Panchu Arunachalam, had musical score by Karthik Raja and was released on 10 November 1996 as a Deepavali release and was an average grosser at box office. Plot Ashok's brothers smuggle drugs and are unstoppable. Only Alexander, a CBI officer, can arrest them. Keyaar
Kothanda Ramaiah (also known as K.R and Keyaar) is an Indian Tamils, Tamil film director, producer, distributor and exhibitor. He has held various leading positions in different film industry organizations. Career KR studied film processing at the M.G.R. Government Film and Television Training Institute, Adyar Film Institute in Chennai in 1972. Upon graduation in 1975, he spent three years as a technician in DD Chennai, Doordarshan Kendra. KR made his debut film as a director and producer with the Malayalam film ''Sisirathil Oru Vasantham''. Prior to its release, the film faced a number of distribution problems and was eventually released by Suguna Screens in 1980. Tiruchirapalli Srinivasan Rangarajan, professionally credited by his pseudonym Vaali (born 29 October 1931 – 18 July 2013) was an Indian poet who is the highest songs wrote lyricist in cinema and whose works were in Tamil, had a five-decade long association with the Tamil film industry, wrote over 15,000 songs. Vasudevan (15 June 1944 – 20 February 2011), known as Malaysia Vasudevan, was a Malaysian-Indian playback singer and actor in Tamil cinema. Early life Malaysia Vasudevan's parents were from Palakkad. Chattu Nair of Ottappalam and Ammalu of Polpulli, along with their families migrated to British Malaya in search of a livelihood. After a few years, Chattu Nair married Ammalu in an arranged marriage. Vasudevan was born on 15 June 1944 as their eighth and youngest child. Even though he was a Malayali, as was the case with the majority of contemporary South Indian migrants to Malaya then, his surroundings in Malaysia was dominated by the Tamil language and culture.
