Alex Young (baseball)
Alexander Edward Young (born September 9, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Cincinnati Reds of Major League Baseball (MLB). He played college baseball for Texas Christian University (TCU), and was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second round of the 2015 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut in 2019 with the Diamondbacks, and has also played in MLB for the Cleveland Indians / Guardians and San Francisco Giants. Amateur career Young attended Carmel High School in Mundelein, Illinois. As a senior he was 7-1 and in 41 innings allowed 13 hits while striking out 71 batters, and was named a 2012 Louisville Slugger first-team All-American and the conference Player of the Year. Pitcher
In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. In the numbering system used to record defensive plays, the pitcher is assigned the number 1. Salvatore Anthony "Torey" Lovullo ( ; born July 25, 1965) is an American professional baseball manager for the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB), appointed November 4, 2016. Lovullo served as the first base coach for the Toronto Blue Jays from to , then as the bench coach for the Boston Red Sox from until . He also served as Boston's interim manager for the final seven weeks of the 2015 season when his boss, John Farrell, stepped aside for successful treatment for lymphoma. Reno Aces
The Reno Aces are a Minor League Baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks. They are located in Reno, Nevada, and play their home games at Greater Nevada Field, which opened in 2009. The Jackson Generals were a professional baseball team located in Jackson, Tennessee. Falmouth Commodores
The Falmouth Commodores are a collegiate summer baseball team based in Falmouth, Massachusetts. The team is a member of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL) and plays in the league's West Division. The Commodores play their home games at Arnie Allen Diamond at Guv Fuller Field in Falmouth.
