Alex Trezza
Alex Trezza (born September 1, 1980) is an American college baseball coach and former catcher. He played college baseball at Stony Brook University. He served as head baseball coach of the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds baseball team from 2015 to 2016. Trezza played catcher at Stony Brook for three years, and in the 2001 season was among national leaders in offensive categories including home runs and RBI. He then played professionally for twelve seasons, reaching Class A+ in the Detroit Tigers organization. He began his coaching career at Anna Maria, where he served as an assistant for one season before moving to Adelphi for one season. Next, he served as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at New Haven. Worcester Tornadoes
The Worcester Tornadoes were a professional baseball team based in Worcester, Massachusetts, in the United States. The Tornadoes were a member of the Canadian-American Association of Professional Baseball, an independent baseball league which was not affiliated with Major League Baseball. The Tornadoes played their home games at Hanover Insurance Park at Fitton Field, on the College of the Holy Cross campus. The Tornadoes were formerly owned by Perfect Game LLC. LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds
The LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds were the athletic teams representing Long Island University's campus in Brooklyn, New York in intercollegiate athletics, including men's and women's basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and track; women's-only bowling, lacrosse, softball, tennis, and volleyball; and men's-only baseball. The Blackbirds competed in NCAA Division I and were members of the Northeast Conference. A member of the Northeast Conference, LIU Brooklyn sponsored teams in six men's and thirteen women's NCAA sanctioned sports: The LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds merged with the Division II LIU Post Pioneers after the 2018–19 academic year.
