Since then there have been numerous players who scored three or more goals in a single match, either in club or international football. The great majority of the scorers of a hat-trick have played for the winning side, but there have also been a few occasions when the player's team have drawn or lost the game. Cristiano Ronaldo became the first player to reach 10 international hat-tricks when he netted three goals for Portugal in a 5–0 win over Luxembourg on 12 October 2021, and overall, he has scored 60 in his career, which is more than any other active player. Herminio Masantonio (5 August 1910 – 11 September 1956) was an Argentine football centre-forward. He played most of his career for Huracán and represented Argentina at international level. Masantonio is one of Huracán's legends, being the all-time top scorer of the club. Besides, he is placed 3rd. in the list of Argentine Primera División top scorers with 253 goals in 358 matches. David Alfonso Arellano Moraga (29 July 1901 – 3 May 1927) was a Chilean footballer and founder of the Colo Colo football club. A winger, he scored in the 1926 South American Championship (Copa América) and is considered one of the best Chilean football players in history. Ademir Marques de Menezes (; 8 November 1922 – 11 May 1996) was a Brazilian footballer, regarded as one of the best forwards in football history. His prominent underbite earned him the nickname "Queixada", which means "jaw". He was also the top goalscorer in the 1950 FIFA World Cup.
