Alex Tettey-Enyo
Alexander Narh Tettey-Enyo (was born on 6th June, 1940) is an educationist and politician. He has been the Member of Parliament for Ada since 2005 and the Ghanaian Minister for Education between 2009 and 2011. Early life and education Alex Tettey-Enyo was born at Akuse in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. He started his primary education at the Akuse Methodist Primary School in 1946. In 1948, he continued at the James Town Accra Methodist Primary School and completed at the Somanya Methodist Primary/Middle School where he studied between 1949 and 1953. His secondary education started at the Volta District Secondary School, Odumase Krobo in 1954. He continued at the Presbyterian Boys' Secondary also at Odumase Krobo between 1956 and 1957. Wesley College Of Education, Kumasi
Wesley College of Education is a teacher education college in Kumasi, Ashanti Region in Ghana. It was initially established for the training of teachers, catechists and ministers. It was founded by the Methodist Church, located between New Tafo and Old Tafo towns. The beginning of Wesley College of Education goes back to 1918. Following the signing of the lease, the college was named, and the foundation stone of the present site was laid in 1922. The courses offered in the College have gone through upgrading from 2-year Cert ‘B’; 4-year Cert ‘A’; 2-year Post-Secondary Cert ‘A; 3-year Post-Secondary Cert ‘A’; and now Diploma in Basic Education (DBE) by the passage of a Parliamentary Bill, Education Act 778 on 6 January 2008. Electoral Commission Of Ghana
The Electoral Commission of Ghana(EC) is the official body in Ghana responsible for all public elections. Made up of seven members, its independence is guaranteed by the 1992 Ghana constitution. The current commission was established by the Electoral Commission Act (Act 451) of 1993. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan was the first substantive chairman of the commission from 1993 to 2015. Dodowa
Dodowa is a town located in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, it is the district capital of Dangme West district, now Shai Osudoku District. The city is 39 km from the capital city, Accra. The notable tourist site found there is the Dodowa Forest. They celebrate "Ngmayemi festival". There is a Historical Forest where the Katamanso war ended. The Tsenku Waterfall is located in the Historical Dodowa Forest. This beautiful waterfall drops from a height of about 250 feet, running on stratified rocks into a cool, clean and clear pool with a large tilapia population. The Parliament of Ghana is the legislative body of the Government of Ghana. History Legislative representation in Ghana dates back to 1850, when the country was a British colony known as Gold Coast.
