Alex McDonald (Wisconsin Politician)
Alexander McDonald (June 28, 1866 – April 20, 1936) was an American politician and businessman. Born in the town of Manchester, Green Lake County, Wisconsin, McDonald received his bachelor's degree from Valparaiso University in 1889. He was a farmer, real estate developer, bank director, and in the canning industry. McDonald was the town clerk and the supervisor of assessment for Green Lake County. He lived in Markesan, Wisconsin. Manchester is a town in Green Lake County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 848 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated community of Manchester is located in the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 35.4 square miles (91.6 km2), of which, 34.9 square miles (90.4 km2) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) of it (1.38%) is water. The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin.
