Alex Harvey (actor)
Alex Harvey is an American filmmaker, theater director, writer, producer, and musician based in Cortlandt, New York. He has directed several films, including ''Walden: Life in the Woods'' which screened at numerous festivals in 2017 and 2018 and was released on digital platforms in October 2019. He has also directed numerous regional theater productions including ''Underneath the Lintel'' and ''I Am My Own Wife''. Harvey also played mandolin in GEICO's nationwide " Happier than" ad campaign. Early life and education Alex Harvey was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. He attended Graland Country Day School there as a child and East High School as a teenager. He ultimately graduated high school from Colorado Academy in 1999. Growing up, he acted in numerous high school and community theater productions. Alexander James Harvey (5 February 1935 – 4 February 1982) was a Scottish rock and blues musician. Although his career spanned almost three decades, he is best remembered as the frontman of the Sensational Alex Harvey Band, with whom he built a reputation as an exciting live performer during the era of glam rock in the 1970s. In 1964, Harvey graduated from Murray State University in Kentucky with a master's degree in Music and Education, and he also studied acting in Los Angeles. Alex Harvey performed and recorded as a musician throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Alex Harvey (; born 7 September 1988) is a retired Canadian cross-country skier who competed between 2005 and 2019. Harvey is also a member of the Quebec Provincial Cycling Team. Career In 2008 Harvey finished third both in the (Team sprint: Whistler Olympic Park, and the 50 km: Trondheim). He also competed at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec, finishing fifth in the 4 x 10 km, 22nd in the 15 km + 15 km double pursuit, 28th in the individual sprint, and 36th in the 15 km events. In the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics, Harvey finished fourth in the team sprint with teammate Devon Kershaw. This is the best placing ever for Canadian men in an Olympic cross-country competition.
