Alex Ferguson
Sir Alexander Chapman Ferguson (born 31 December 1941) is a Scottish former football manager and player, best known for managing Manchester United from 1986 to 2013. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest football managers of all time and has won more trophies than any other manager in the history of football. Ferguson is often credited for valuing youth during his time with Manchester United, particularly in the 1990s with the " Class of '92", who contributed to making the club one of the richest and most successful in the world. Ferguson played as a forward for several Scottish clubs, including Dunfermline Athletic and Rangers. While playing for Dunfermline, he was the top goalscorer in the Scottish league in the 1965–66 season. James Alexander Ferguson (February 16, 1897 – April 26, 1976) was a pitcher in Major League Baseball who played for five different teams between 1918 and 1929. Alexander Ferguson (born 1913-?) was a Scottish footballer who played as an outside right for clubs including St Johnstone, Hibernian and Heart of Midlothian. While with St Johnstone, he was selected for a Scottish Football Association tour of North America in the summer of 1935; none of the matches was considered a full international. He had earlier represented his country at Junior level while with Lochee Harp. His spell at Hibs was a short end-of-season loan to aid the team in their fight against relegation in 1935–36, which was successful. The Gerry Feilden Hurdle is a Premier Handicap National Hunt hurdle race in Great Britain which is open to horses aged four years or older. It is run at Newbury over a distance of about 2 miles and half a furlong (2 miles and 69 yards, or 3,282 metres), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late November or early December at the course's Ladbrokes Trophy meeting. It is currently an Intermediate Hurdle (Limited Handicap) sponsored by Ladbrokes Coral, but in the 1980s and early 1990s it was a Grade 2 race, contested by many of the top hurdlers. Sir Alexander Charles Onslow Fergusson (8 April 1949 – 31 July 2018) was a Scottish politician and farmer who served as Presiding Officer of the Scottish Parliament from 2007 to 2011. A member of the Scottish Conservative Party, he was Member of the Scottish Parliament (MSP) from 1999 to 2016. Born in rural Wigtownshire, Fergusson was educated at Eton College before attending the Scottish Agricultural College at Auchincruive. After completing an ONDA, he took over his family farm estate in 1971. Alejandro "Alec" Ferguson (born July 19, 1978) is an Argentine cricketer. He is a right-handed batsman and wicket-keeper who has played for Argentina since 1994. Ferguson made his debut as a fifteen-year-old lower-middle order batsman, though he averaged merely five with the bat throughout the tournament, as Argentina finished third in their Plate Group. Seven years later, Ferguson showed up for the 2001 ICC Trophy tournament, where he played two matches for the team. Alexander Ferguson MacLaren (February 3, 1854 – April 19, 1917) was a Canadian manufacturer, exporter and politician. Born in Perth, Lanark County, Canada West, the son of John MacLaren, a native of Perthshire, Scotland, MacLaren moved to Cromarty in Perth County with his family while still young. He was employed with a dairyman to learn cheese making but soon joined Thomas Ballantyne, a major cheese manufacturer and exporter. In 1890, MacLaren established his own cheese exporting business in Stratford.
