Alex DeCroce
Alex DeCroce (June 10, 1936 – January 9, 2012) was an American Republican Party politician who served in the New Jersey General Assembly, where he represented the 26th Legislative District from 1989 until his death. He was the Assembly's Republican Leader since 2003, served as the Republican Conference Leader from 2002 to 2003, and was the Deputy Speaker from 1994 to 2001. As of the 2020 United States census, the town's population was 8,815, an increase of 468 (+5.6%) from the 2010 census count of 8,347, which in turn reflected a decline of 149 (−1.8%) from the 8,496 counted in the 2000 census. Vote Smart, formerly called Project Vote Smart, is a non-profit, non-partisan research organization that collects and distributes information on candidates for public office in the United States.
